This was my dad’s favorite song by Third Day, and probably his favorite song ever. I learned how to play it on guitar a couple years ago, and he would try to sing along (he could not sing well haha) Back in September of 2021, he suddenly passed away at the age of 52. I was 17 then, and now I’m 18 preparing to graduate without him watching and writing his eulogy for his celebration of life. I know the song is about God telling us how He’s always loved us, but in time it has grown to be a way for me to hear my dad telling me he loved me before I was born. I miss him terribly but I know he was the strongest Christian I’ve ever met and that I can see him one day. Thank you Mac Powell and Third Day for this beautiful song.

Aw, my heart hurts for your loss, but your Dad is now singing and rejoicing with the Lord of all. My mom went to Heaven this past July. She’d love this song. I played it for my young son and he was very touched. Your Dad probably felt the words of the song represented his love for you as well as the Lord’s. I feel that for my kids too. Blessings. 🙏🏻👇

Woke up at 4 am to a line from this song playing in my mind. I didn't remember the song but I'd know Mac Powell's voice anywhere so I knew how to find the song. Played it over and over that day because I knew it was God speaking to me. That afternoon I got an answer to a prayer .. . A reversal of situation... a huge blessing! God changed the hearts and minds of those in authority. Hallelujah!

Awesome rendition, mandolin adds so much. Great harmonies. You guys rocked it. That Mac guy playing guitar was pretty decent. I used to weep openly when listening to/ playing this song.
