Aww, I remember my first episode...It was when Ellie started to cut herself due to her mom being an alcoholic and her dad constantly away (Whisper To A Scream; Season 3, Episode 8) Even though my dad is died due to alcoholism and my mom is a hard worker. So I related to Ellie instantly because she and I cutted. I remember watching it and started shortly after since my mom was so disappointed in my grades and I only did this to defy her since I was tired of her riding my back or pressuring me to be like her so I began to cut so she can worry about something else. Long story short, she got worried and started to care about my well being but not for long. So then I grew out of cutting and saw many more episodes to come and became addicted to them since the characters were so relatable. I remember I seen Ellie's progress on her cutting and was like if she can stop and flick rubber bands on her wrist so can I. Fast forward maybe 8 years later, I still have a rubber band on my wrist just in case even though I have a semicolon tattoo to remind myself that my story isn't over. the very first new episode i saw was the season 7 premiere when manny had blonde hair. it was around 2007-2008 so i would've been in the 5th or 6th grade. i remember getting teased for watching degrassi at church because it was considered to be an adult show. i became sooo obsessed with it at that point. i watched the entire series up to that point including the 80s show.

I remember bargaining into my brother's room to annoy him & to my surprise he wasn't there, but his TV was on Degrassi and I ended up staying in his room for a few minutes because I was intrigued by the show. I ended up racing back to my room during commerical time and I have been hooked ever since. This was back in 2011/12

our stories of first new episode are pretty similar, I can't remember the exact one but it was definitely mid season 3, and it was also part of a marathon. and WOW I totally forgot all about the N! I was addicted to those forums back in the day! I have seasons 1-8 on dvd and I can't wait to watch them with my future kids one day. I hope it comes back in some way before then though! I cherish this show so much!

I remember I officially started watching Degrassi during season 9, my first episode was “close to me” it was the episode where Jane cheated on Spinner with Declan. I remember seeing promos for degrassi on tv for seasons 7 & 8 but it wasn’t till season 9 that I finally gave it a try. Then once season 9 ended, I remember teennick had a whole month long marathon of reruns of all the previous seasons leading up to the boiling point (season 10), so I spent that summer watching the marathon to catch up on seasons 1-8 and rewatching season 9. I remember being so excited for the boiling point because of how hard they promoted it during the marathon and just thinking to myself “wow I started watching at the perfect time” because season 10 really revolutionized degrassi 👌🏽

I remember seeing bits and pieces of episodes between Seasons 10 and 11, but the first episode actually watch was in season 13. Not the greatest season, but they work with what they had. I think there were highs and lows for each character in certain parts of all the seasons.

The first ever episode of Degrassi I saw was Uptown Girl Part 1, when they aired S8-9 on MTV in Italy in 2012 (I had to google the airing date, I thought it was actually earlier than that...) So, I'm a bit late to the party, considering that age wise I would have been right in with the OG TNG cast. Needless to say, it got me completely hooked, and within the Summer I had binge-watched all of S10 as well as S1-7 thanks to the powers of the internet ;) Wow Kary, 15 years is a lot! It really says something about how special this show is, that it can keep people interested this long, don't you think? Thanks for keeping the Fandom alive

My first episode where I actively sought out Degrassi was the Season 3 episode, U Got the Look. The first two seasons didn't peak my interest at the time and I was too wrapped up in Radio Free Roscoe. However, I do remember watching Man in the Mirror before becoming a fan. As a Canadian The-N wasn't on my radar. But many years ago you posted a link to The-N's podcast where they interviewed the actors and I listened to all of the Degrassi ones. It was truly a blast from the past!

I can't remember for sure but I think my first episode I saw was either White Wedding or Tears are not enough. I miss those days coming home from school on friday and at 8:00 watching the new episode with my sister, then watching all the re-runs of the new episode throughout the weekend. Season 2 always holds a special place for me just because they are the OG's and thats where I got to start watching the show evolve. Really wish it was still around.

I remember the one where Emma goes to meet up with her online friend, I think that was the first one i saw. yes I loved the-n for degrassi quizzes and even after they took the show off, teennick still said that degrassi was shown on there.

The first episode I saw was Season 2 "White Wedding" (but I don't know if that was its first airing) so I think "Relax" was my first for sure NEW episode. The N was so great. I watched a lot of their shows. South of Nowhere, Girls vs. Boys, that surfing show, omg. And most people I knew didn't have the channel, so it was really a solitary journey for me for a while. I don't think I was that active on The N's website. But I do remember trying to find cast members on myspace!

My first new episode was a big one; Shout parts 1 and 2 and How Soon is Now? My family got Dish in March 2003 and I slowly worked my way through most of the first two seasons. In the summer, The-N aired Hot for Teacher onward plus Shout and Mirror in the Bathroom. The original airing of Shout had How Soon is Now? edited into it as a pseudo “mini movie.” When that episode started, The-N added a tag that said “Three months later” so we knew this was awhile later.

My first Degrassi episode was the one where Spike got pregnant. I wasn't born when DJH began let alone when TNG began. I have Asperger's and teen drama has been my special interest for a minute now, and I heard my mom talk about the OG Degrassi so I looked it up, found an episode and watched it all the way through and was impressed. Next Generation aired on ABC3 in Australia when I was like 9-12 years old but I didn't care or notice cause I was too young. Junior High will always be THE Degrassi to me. It and Degrassi High are just as important as Next Generation.

My first Degrassi episode I watched was Season 8 in 2008 I believe on Nickelodeon. I saw like halve of the episode and really enjoyed it. But for some reason I never looked into it. Two years later after seeing another episode I decided to watch Season 1 and I never looked back the whole summer of 2010 all I did was binge watch Degrassi. The newest episode I watched was of season 10 Drew was the focus in that episode If I remember correctly.

Probably next class was the first new episode I watched. I started at season one in December 2009 when ABC3 a new kids Chanel started in Australia. I also started I high school in February 2010 so was actually a great time to start it. I would watch and record all the episodes. If I missed them I would watch all the episodes aired that week from my recordings. I hired the Degrassi junior high and Degrassi high dvds from my local library that year. So with around season 10/12 or next class would’ve been when I saw an episode new for the first time. 12 years of being a fan in dec 2021. So crazy.

Regular ABC used to air Degrassi in the 5pm slot. I remember that they stopped airing it around like season 5 (I was watching online at the same time it aired on CTV/The N though so I didn't miss out) then like you said not until it started airing on ABC3/ABC ME I caught up with it. Then Next Class started airing except for season 4. Can't believe it's been 22 years and that the 25th anniversary is in a few years. Been here since the beginning and never looked back
