If you're under investigation" by the police or they already have "probable cause" to believe against you! In a criminal case, a few advantageous you already have over the prosecution is exercising your right to remain silent! Because if you should choose to go to trial! The prosecution cannot argue that! he or she was silent therefore they are guilty! Matter of fact, you will probably get a new trial if your prosecutor tries to argue that! And two, the judge will tell the jury that if you should choose not to testify! That can't be held evidence against you that you are guilty! Another advantage you have over the prosecution. Is that it's the state's responsibility and or burden is on the state to prove you guilty Beyond A Reasonable Doubt! It's not your responsibility! So knowing your rights can help you when arrested!

I’m guessing most of the times it doesn’t help to talk to the cops is if there’s a possibility the allegations are true. Otherwise, you’re gonna be facing a huge legal fee whilst being totally innocent.

Prosecutor and police investigator are never in your side. For them, your freedom and innocent is money. They care about their jobs, benefits, reputation, their ego, yada yada. They don't care about the truth, about innocent. They exaggerate every word from the "victim" so they can have a case, get pay and cross fingers that the accused person is convicted with something, even with a misdemeanors charges. Don't never even call them back, just have the number ready for a lawyer and if get arrested, be patient until you get in contact with a lawyer, but never talk about it with them. Never

I'd certainly agree that it's generally not safe to talk to an officer during an investigation WITHOUT a lawyer. That being said, under certain circumstances, it CAN be helpful to make a statement to law enforcement WITH a lawyer present. The analysis is complicated and unique to every single situation. But I have certainly had cases with a client facing an allegation where we have decided to come, talk to law enforcement, and that has helped to avoid charges based on a false allegation. Again, each situation is unique, I recommend someone talks with a criminal defense lawyer EXPERIENCED in criminal sexual conduct cases to get advice on whether, in each unique situation, it is best to make a statement with a lawyer present or not to make a statement. Also know that, just because someone chooses NOT to make a statement, does NOT mean that they are guilty. Sometimes there is just NO BENEFIT to making a statement no matter what. Sometimes police are told that if it's a he said/she said, that it's going to be charged no matter what, so in that instance, there may indeed be no benefit to going to the police station just to reiterate "No, this never happened." If they're going to charge it anyway, you may have nothing to gain and there's a risk your words or actions could be twisted and misrepresented. So it truly is a case by case analysis, but make sure you have a good lawyer before making that critical decision.

This has happened to me apparently I have touched the inside of a girls leg and asked “am I making you uncomfortable” when I haven’t done this my school basically blamed me straight away and put me in icolation straight away without telling me why and didn’t even say what I’ve been accused of until I got home and they rang my parents and I didn’t even get to defend myself to the school since they didn’t tell me anything and I have a two day suspension and have a meeting with my school on Tuesday

When they take the stand they talk in favor of the defendant. At the George Zimmerman trial, all of the cops talked on his side when they testified. This is a reason why males should seriously consider whether or not he should take a job working with children because there is a risk. The accusation was made against Woody Allen in a custody dispute. The judge in the case, Judge Elliot Wilk, was totally not in Woody Allen's corner. He issued a court for investigation on the molestation charge. Yale New Haven Hospital conducted the investigation and they exonerated Woody Allen. The investigating committee was highly skeptical from the beginning. For one thing there was never any accusation made against Allen like this. For another thing in high profile case like that, when it's announced that the investigation is going forward, there are people that come out of the closet with "Me Too." That did not happen with Woody Allen. Woody Allen even took a polygraph and passed it with flying colors. But the accusation is still looming.
