Sticking with one thing. I need THAT tattooed on my forehead, forearm, thigh, etched into every mirror and wall in the house. I am so very multi passionate. Too much so for my own good. However, I do know that my priority goals are these three: financial freedom, location freedom and schedule freedom. I am chipping away at the passions that do not fit into these three goals. I continue to tell myself that once I reach these goals, I then can make crepe paper flowers again or paint eggshells, etc. Great video!!

I’m right in the middle of the “don’t have a plan B” and it’s so true! I get worried that I made the right choice starting a business, when it gets hard, I just push harder….cause I don’t have a back up. I definitely suffer from “multi-passionate-ism” 😂

The one I found most helpful is to focus on money making tasks 1st. Also writing the ideas down to keep from getting sidetracked and distracted by them.

Jessica yesssss! The treat it like a business and not a hobby is so key! I am out of work due to an injury and since I am I decided- well I’ve been “working” on this side stuff so what I’m going to do is “go to work” and spend the hours I would have spent at my J.O.B doing the side stuff. It hasn’t been perfect but the mindset shift alone has made me progress more in 2 weeks than I have on YEARS. 🙌🏻

This is right on time. Thank you so much, Jessica, for reminding me that consistency is key! I have to have only one plan, focus on it and stick to it! Right now, I have about 3-4 different business ideas that has my money COMPLETELY spread thin and nothing is balanced. 😖 I’m all over the place. I pick up one thing, throw it away or set it aside at the first sign of resistance and replace it with something else. It has become a ‘money-burning’ cycle especially since I’ll go through the routine of getting the licenses, websites, etc. for the business and then, weeks or months later, when I’m confronted with a challenge or new idea, I discard the business I’m in the process of building and start all over with something else. 🤦🏾♀️ I keep trying to find the perfect product and I keep trying to find quick money. I have to settle down and stop acting like I’m at a casino. I need to get serious and, as you stated, start treating my business like a real business and not like a hobby. Again, this video was right on time and thank you for creating and posting it.

Good Lord I NEEDED to hear this! 🙌🙌🙌 I just lost my job three weeks ago and thank God I had a side hustle that I started a year and a half ago in which I had just gotten my product on Amazon a few weeks before I lost my job But I also started all these other side hustles that I wanted to build up slowly in the background because I felt that building something was better than building nothing… Which is very true to a certain degree… So I am grateful that I’ve been starting Other little Etsy shops With that being said here I am again this week thinking about starting another side hustle And I was justifying starting another side hustle in that while I’m waiting on one thing with one side hustle I could be working on something else Because sometimes I have to wait for supply in ingredients and I literally can’t do anything to make more products But of course I realized I could still be creating content though while I am waiting for supply. Also it actually does hit me a few days ago that this KZbin channel that has had a subscriber count going up steadily each month… I really really need to treat it like a business as well because the KZbin can really get me somewhere. I’ve also got a third side hustle that I started that’s a digital only shop and it’s already had some sales and I see all of these views coming in left and right but I don’t have as many people buying that I hope with the amount of views that I have… So I have also decided to hone in on that because all the side hustles to me are a little bit different but as long as I just stay consistent now that I’m a full-time self-employed person I can probably make it happen So I have decided I cannot take on a fourth side hustle

I enjoy your content tremendously! You are so open and that is refreshing. I was speaking with my brother saying I have a problem with enjoying learning about how to do some thing so much that I tend to learn more than I need to before taking action. It is a distraction to me making money. Your description of enjoying different business ideas and choosing now to write them down to scratch that itch and then put them somewhere and focus on your main thing as well as encouraging us to focus on tasks that actually generate funds was very helpful for me and my habits of not doing the most important thing for generating income. 🙏🏽

I really appreciated your point about using the word "just" to downplay or make your business or hustle sound casual and less serious. I learned not to use that word in emails when leading an organization in college because it makes someone sound tentative instead of bold, like you lack confidence and certainty or direction. Good points! 👍

I have been watching your videos for a few years, minus the time where COVID made everything so much harder and income was a real struggle. Finally employed again and really want to diversify my income because I know what it is like when your one good source of income "goes away". Besides never really starting (my biggest problem) what would you recommend for someone to someone to get them from Point A (watching a ton of videos on side hustles) to Point B (actually implementing a solid plan that actually makes an income)? The fear of the unknown is finally being overshadowed by the fear of not diversifying my income. Thank you for creating your videos. I really enjoy watching and listening to the wonderful explanations you provide so well.

You may have already covered the topic of income and sales taxes. If not, perhaps a video on if and how sales taxes are handled for digital and non-tangible products. Particularly sold across the states and internationally. Etsy and Shopify may handle taxes for us, but what is your experience selling from your own website or other platforms? Also, a word on how to determine income for the business vs personal income from the business. I assume LLC is better than sole proprietorship?

I would love to hear more about your store. I have been watching your videos for awhile now. I'm getting ready to open a playroom with a gift shop selling local vendor items. I really don't want to split hair either. My plan is to charge a flat fee for 2 separate size shelves. This would be an added revenue source and not the main source. What system did you use? I plan to code each vendor with a sku system to make sure everything can be filtered through reports to know what each vendor made. I'll dig to see if you made any more videos about this topic.
