you don't necessarily lose time on the hairpins. The class leader icon it's equal spaced between the checkpoints so it won't take in consideration the specific place where you are...its like an average speed. Basically it seems that you gain time on the straights because you are doing that quickly (above the average speed of the class leader), but in fact that its not true.

I’ve been loving driving the mk2 escort in this championship , I’ve had to search for a tune however. I’m still loving this game , just needs a few patches
