You are the cat’s meow & the bees knees!! This is so exciting, I’ve never imagined good old contact paper could be this useful! I was a Montessori preschool teacher for many years & in the way-back distant past (before laminating) we used to have to laboriously wrap all our all our little sets of paper cards in contact paper to protect them! It was not a favorite activity for us, but this?! WOW!I just ordered some contact paper from Amazon! Woohoo! Who would have thought?! Do you have any bright colors in Stazon ink? I wonder how bright red or deep blue might look? Amazing, thank you, Toni! Erica❤

I just started, but Tim Holtz would be so comfortable with your palette!!! I bought a pack of papers from a local charity shop here in Florida, includes passports, primary school report cards, international driver's license, lots of pictures and so forth. I don't normally make junk journals, do you have any ideas on what I should do with these treasures?

Just some thoughts...I wondered whether it would be as effective to stamp on the card and then apply the coloured contact paper over the stamping? I'm not sure whether the stamping would be covered up too much though? Or would a coat of clear gesso on top of the contact paper work to make the surface less slippery? However, that could make it more difficult to stamp cleanly... Thanks for this, Toni. It opens up lots of options!
@CraftybyToni11 ай бұрын
I did find it wasn't too slippy tbh, I mean you could do it what ever way you want that's the beauty of it, I did think about mod podge making it less glossy on the project. It was just something I wanted to try just to see if it was possible but both ways are definitely cool, it really does open up lots of possibilities ☺️

Your makes are such yummy grungy looking pieces…so excited! Thank you so much for sharing and I know what I’m going to be doing very soon…lol. Will have to try this technique when I get the contact paper later this week. Hoping that I can use Ranger Archive ink instead of the Staz-on, since I already have those inks. I've picked alcohol inks based on what you've used so I already have most of the ones you used in this video. Thanks for the ideas.

@@CraftybyToni Update! Tried this last night with Archive ink and let it dry overnight and it seems like it worked! When stamping it seemed sticky with the stamp. Just need to practice the ink grunging technique some more to get process right for making the nice designs. Thanks for the experimenting and sharing of all the stuff you do.
