I'm a 74 yr old woman. and my first husband was already in the sack with other women within a month after we were married. the funny thing is that I never felt jealous. I guess I never had time to become real attached to him. I never cried a tear, I just up and left. He kept telling me he would die if I left, I told him I'll send a Lilly for your grave. He never died after I left him. He had promised to love and keep only to me, I made the same promise. We were divorced about a year later. I had a son by him. But I never ever cried over him or missed him. I thought something was wrong with me. Now my current husband, of 30 yrs whom I love, has been diagnosed with cancer and I'm a wreck. I did and do love him completely..

@@ahhwe-any7434 Well there is an old saying that you can't cheat an honest man. We are all full of varying degrees of facade and suppressed emotion. I have a lot of work to do in that regard, but I do know that the more sincere you are as a person, the more able you are to detect sincerity or lack of it. It's sort of like how dogs bark at one person at the door and not another, they can sense energy and the emotional condition just emanating from each person, regardless of how that person's facade may fool people. The way to get more sincere is to be truthful with ourselves about our own true emotions. So when we let ourselves truly feel all of our actual feelings in totality, we increase our capacity to feel, and become inherently more honest. We are not lying to ourselves. I think mental illness comes from trying to suppress what is actually there, or judge it, instead of just allowing the emotion to flow and be released, like a baby does, which is a much shorter process. You can see how our grief and emotion is suppressed from birth until we are a mess as an adult. I am a work in progress but I have noticed this to be true in the emotional work I've done so far.

@@ahhwe-any7434 you're also very predictable, but you won't admit your faults to yourself when analyzing yourself, because you don't actually want to know and admit the truth, because the truth hurts. Just like people who suspect their partners of cheating don't want it to be true, so they rationalize their sad reality to a point where it hurts the least at that point and time. It's very easy to lie, to yourself and others, and to live in those lies. It's a lot harder to be genuine. And "genuine" is what your body wants, but what your mind walks around in chase of easier pleasure.

The worst part of being cheated on, isn’t even the sex, it’s the fact that they didn’t do what they said they would, which is hold up their end of an agreement. They are not a person of their word. Don’t commit to monogamous relationships if you don’t want to/ can’t be monogamous. Be with people who are ok with polyamory, and leave monogamous people alone. I don’t get why this is such a difficult thing for people to do.

This movie was ahead of it's time, because it really shows how people are selfish and inconsiderate of others feelings, and it showed how easy it is to lie to people who love you. But the "I don't love you anymore" was so epic, "since when?", "since now!!!". Then to disappear, I loved it!!!Unbeknownst to everyone that was the best revenge!

There's always that ex in the background somewhere. People who do this are usually narcs. They will keep one person in the loop to triangulate against. It's a manipulation tactic. My first husband had one and as soon as we divorced guess who he moved in? I'm just glad I didn't waste my life on an lie. I was 21 so I had no clue, but it pretty much kept repeating until I just put myself first and I am single now. Two of my ex boyfriends came back to try again WHILE they had a girlfriend. When I rejected them they married their girlfriends. I'd hate to be that woman that was settled for. I said nothing because the truth would be rather hurtful. Better for them to live in blissfull ignorance. The truth is ugly but I don't mind seeing it for what it is. Human nature is ugly in it's core which is why we escape into a fantasy. Ok, it's so strange, that my emotions from watching parts of this movie mostly stayed the same after seeing it for the first time when I was like 16 (now I'm 30) 🙃 And what I mean is, watching it makes me cringe and laugh at the most intense moments, because it feels a lot like witnessing someone's rough sexual fantasy, not a "normal" human interaction scenario. Thanks to the comments, I understand the point about him a possessive alpha male as the point for his behavior here. But the vibe of the whole movie still makes me intensely uncomfortable to the point of wanting to look away. Feels dirty somehow 🥴 I like erotic themes in movies, and they can be also complex emotionally, here it feels too intimate, violent, kind of disgusting While I write this, I think, maybe that's the point 😂 Probably I should rewatch the whole movie (and maybe understand it more)

@@mehakverma7043not really actually,if you look at all the shows and movies from whatever time from the west it is 9/10 the women who cheats,the worst part it is they always portray man at fault ,so man accepts her back most of the time or she goes on with the one who she cheats with ,where as the times the man it is completely his fault that he cheated .So,the common theme is if a man cheats it is his fault wife never accepts him back whereas if a woman cheats that also is somehow man's fault and he eventually accepts her back.Therefore, it seems like from all the artwork that women eventually will cheat one way or the other ,she will cheat when she is young ,she will cheat when she is old ,she will cheat when she is housewife,she will definitely cheat if she is a working woman,the moment she experience a certain sadness the first thing she will do is cheat ,if a husband works hard she will cheat because she is "lonely",if a husband doesn't work she will cheat obviously. Let's keep this conversation civil if you want to continue, without involving family members (mother, father, sister, brother).

@@njha4531 Listen man, I read Tolstoy's Anna Karenina too, okay 😭And yeah, it's probably true that men and women cheat for different reasons. Regardless, they both cheat. You shouldn't base real life on what you see in movies though, because it's true, they usually paint the guy who cheats as a bad guy, whereas when a woman cheats in film, they make it so that you still feel bad for her. No one in real life actually feels sorry for cheaters. Yeah, some guys are asses who cheat on their wives, and some women are sluts who cheat on their husbands. It still hurts either way. Personally, I've never been in a relationship before, but I can safely say that people who cheat, regardless of their gender, are absolutely disgusting. I wish I could give this guy in the video a big hug. But the way you generically stated "women will eventually cheat" is not only factually incorrect, but very misogynistic. It sounds like someone hurt you and now you think all women will do that to you. Or, maybe your mother cheated on your father, and that has messed up the idea that women can be virtuous. I hope you realise that that is not the case. It's like if a woman said "all men will eventually become abusive", just because her ex abused her, or she saw her father abuse her mother. When the reality is, not every man is abusive (at least, I hope they aren't).
