Thanks for watching! Previously any water flooded projects I’ve worked on suffered from crushed con rods/piston or bent valves, but none had issues with rust. I will keep an eye out though - so far so good!

if that had been a petrol engine it would have needed a new engine or a rebuild.. disel engine are pretty much bomb proof

The engines are more robust, but all the shit attached to them are the problem

N47 engines are pretty good despite what some people might think, unfortunately they have a bad reputation because of the timing chain.

@@W15Garage exactly, the chain wouldnt look out of place on a bike, and its position is bmw saying it will never need changing

I have taken loads of injectors out of the BMW n47 engines and with a good pull they come out with your hands But you will have to replace the copper washers that sits on the end
