Sara Dowling has resurrected my faith in new jazz singers. I enjoyed talking to her at a local concert in Sawbridgeworth, where my favourite trumpet player Paul Higgs was playing. Her phrasing is unique, with the occasional sharp edge, because she thinks like the musician she is.

Attended a Jazz evening a few nights ago. Was introduced to the amazing Sara Dowling Quartet. Oh my gosh!!!... Sara`s vocal dexterity was made for Jazz and so the evening presented evocative tones with a repertoire of language and tempo. Sara Dowling is an exceptional Jazz Vocalist with a playful candour as a prelude to songs elevated by her vocal skills and of course the accompanying quartet members. There's a certain innocence about Sara's style which simply captivates the listener. Such a privilege and pleasure to listen to...I encourage all to listen to Sara live when the opportunity presents itself. I have fallen in love with your voice!!

​@@saradowlingmusic Your voice borders the cinematic and I sincerely hope the film/ movie houses realise this (if they haven't already) and approach you since your rendition of classics and personal work could add that genre-specific ambience to certain scenes where others have done so emphatically in the past.

Sarah, I wrote this in my jazz website - 'must mention last night (18May2018)! We were invited to Jacquie and David’s new and highly successful ‘Foot Tappers Jazz Club’ at Seasons Restaurant, Knights Garden Centre, Chelsham, Surrey. They had JJ (Jonathan Vinten Trio) with Bobby Worth and Stevie Thompson, who were superb as expected. Their guest star was that magical singer, Sara Dowling. Oh what a knockout she is. I hate her …. Seriously, she is a delight. She is a lovely looking young lady with a mind-blowing jazz voice. Spit, spit, spit! Keep your eye out for her … she is going places. Well done Jacquie and David'.
