Definitely need some rainX anti-fog on the inside of the windows (& roof). I’ve driving about 10 miles in rain, not needed the blower with the solution applied (2 coats)

This car has some problems that we thought we have left in the past, twenty years ago, like lack of abs, airbags, air condition, power steering and fog on windows

it does, but it doesnt have all the gadgets and electric motors that always fail and cost a fortune

The Ami seems to be a good idea badly executed. Way too many faults for such a large company. I had similar problems with my first new 2CV back in the eighties. First thing you did was take everything out of the car (seats etc), lift out the large rubber floor mat then hoover out screws, staples, gravel etc which had been left under the mat. If you didn’t they got tramped through the bitumen sealant and as CVs usually leaked you got rust in footwells. The other thing you had to do was trim the front of the rubber door seal so it fitted flush and hopefully prevented aforementioned leaks. A stick on heated rear window element was also essential. Seems things haven’t improved in forty years. 😕

agree, they have done so much mistakes in such a small car, i dont even know how they were testing it. In cold or rainy wether its not able to drive couse you see barely nothing. i have my ami for 3 years and i need to wait one more year to get regural normal driving licence and drive normal cars with conditioner and better batery. i was just minding why couldnt they put a litle bigeer batery, it wont weight much more but it will improve problems with small range and half a problem with cold and rainy wether. Why havent they made bigger space behind seats, cause there is plenty of space that is not used, same with front of the car, they just could make it bigger, and plastic wont weight too much so that car went out of L6E rule zone. So much mistakes made in such small car, i dont know how they were planing and projecting this car

I work for Citreon and I had to drive to the post office to tax a few vehicles. You get more looks in this then you do in a Ferrari, it’s funny seeing everyone look at you especially when your going up a hill and your going no faster then 9mph and there’s a Volkswagen fox leaving you for dust! You only need a 125cc bike license to be able to drive this as well, so we have had a massive increase of people calling us about the ami due to that on its own!

Hey Barry! I second all of your comments! Not sure if you have seen any of my little videos but I can relate to you. The service has been abysmal from Citroen so much so I could go to the press. The local dealer been great but when there are issues it always causes tension. I have had numerous issues and been promised another but one month later, heard nothing at all. The direct sales model they adopted was 100% under baked and the communication is shocking. They just don't know what they are doing and I think to be honest the Ami will get pulled from sale sooner than we think! Best wishes Anthony

@@MyAmiVice Good luck mate. To be honest I am exhausted with the the Ami team. I love the Ami, it's great and perfect for my little nursery run with my little daughter but oh boy the Ami it's flawed. It steams up so badly I almost ran into a lamp post as could not see out of the front 1/4 windows. The main issue has been water getting in from under the floor. I have just ran out and can see the same white marks on the drivers door. As you say it's stress from the plastic flexing or that instant shock stress when you open and close the door but no cracks. I have to really slam the doors so will keep an eye on it. Thanks

I just went out into the garage to see if I had same problem with crack in door. No sign of any crack thankfully - and I've had my Ami Orange since Oct 2022. Done about 680 miles so far and we have a fair few pot holes in the roads round here as well. I would definitely go back to the dealer / Citroen and ask for a new door under warranty.

Enjoyed this video which was well made & informative. I hope you manage to get your door sorted without too much hassle. Bit disappointing that you have to buy something yourself to fix the window misting up, Citroen should have addressed that problem before putting the Ami out. I saw the glass roof mists up, do you have water droplets coming down into the interior?

If you ask me I think down to poor cheap quality plastic they have used no thought into the car, and rushed out to quick, and it’s a typical PSA group built cheap sold at a higher price. Take it back and reject the car.

Is it legal to drive with that much misting on the windows? Does it not have any kind of demisting system? Given that it's a new car I'm quite shocked!

It actually looks worse on the cameras, its not good but if i thought for a second it was dangerous i wouldnt drive it, the heater/demister is pretty poor, im having a proper heater put in

Install a diesel cab heater, less than £150 with remote control. It will solve your demisting issues and the car will be an all-weather vehicle.

That cracking is disappointing, given that plastics often have a bit of "give" seems odd that it would have cracked in the manner it has. Are the decals orientated the same way around? You could swap the doors over & see if the other one develops the same cracking when on the driver's side? As for potholes, join the club, the roads in Brighton are an absolute disgrace, it is like we live in a third world country, we did have a green council, now labour have been voted in - I don't think that they will be any better at managing taxpayer's monies. It is the same everywhere you go, potholes & serious disrepair to the infrastructure, I can't see the roads being brought up to scratch any time soon. Thanks for sharing.

It’s not a car, it’s an electric four-wheel. It was made with lightweight materials for a short city trip and not hit the road. So with potholes, your tires and suspension could be damaged with a conventional car too. Comparing Jaguar or other cars and AMI Citroën makes no sense. It depends on how you use it. It wasn't a good choice for you. There's better but it's more expensive. It's a very light vehicle so too fragile.

It was an excellent choice for me, i only do a 5 mile journey in it, i dont want or need an EV that is full of bells and whistles, and does 100 mph when i never get above 25 mph going to and from work, i look after my cars i know virtually every pothole in Preston, ive driven a bmw with runflats and msport suspension and they are a worse ride than the Ami, also cost doesnt come into it, when i want to go for a pleasurable drive, it will be in a petrol or diesel car, however in Preston even the road between the potholes can only be described as appalling at best
