My grandfather was scouted and was offered to play for the NY Yankees, but his dad refused that offer and told him farming was more important. When my son was born in 1997 he had grandpa's hands and I knew baseball was in his future. He played 12 yrs..from T-ball all the way to high school. Pitched a perfect game and several no hitters. Unfortunately, he didn't choose baseball as a profession.

I gotta say, it's so interesting to see dog breeds in photos & on film, from decades ago, to see how the 'look' of the breed has changed (usually for the worse - becoming more exaggerated, and creating less healthy dogs)...that Great Dane has a much more rounded skull, and far smaller jowls (so he probably drools less than Danes do now, but you'll notice Gary still took out his handkerchief) than Danes do, now

From the opening intro it's apparent that Henry Morgan would rather be somewhere else. I always heard that he was an extremely unpleasant man to be around off camera and sometimes on.

Jonathan Winters is remarkably unfunny here- and terrible at doing accents. I grew up thinking of him as a comic genius. Maybe his style of comedy hasn’t aged very well.
