I met Soupy Sales at NBC NYC while standing in the line up to see Letterman (early 80's), he came out of nowhere and dazzled us standees for about 15 seconds....he just walked the line big smile and saluted people for waiting for his performance...pretending we were coming to see him. Ha.

@BusterTV1 But how many know Soupy's sons, Hunt and Tony Sales, were in a 1960s' garage band called Tony & The Tigers, and that the young Saleses played with Iggy Pop on the '77 tour in support of Pop's "Lust For Life" LP, as well on David Bowie's Tin Machine tours??

@@tdw5933 every person on this show would have been horrified at how divided, selfish, and mean-spirited America has become with Donald Trump as master spokesman.

How many know that Betsy Palmer (blonde panelist) was also Jason Voorhees' Mom in Friday the 13th?

Cigarettes actually smelled & tasted good back then, before the companies were forced to add all sorts of nasty chemicals & additives to hamper the taste and force folks hopefully to quit. Gazing at the old colorful Winston banners brings back memories how they used to satisfy ones pleasure. But just like this old television show. it will never be duplicated again.
