I’m one of those people who sent you a cold email, lol. To be fair, I wasn’t pitching anything-just offered a suggestion and was thrilled to get a response. That was awesome!

Deya, out of all the youtubers that over promises to help them get better at remote work and freelancing, YOU MAKE THE BEST ADVICE, CALL TO ACTION, and create a realistic approach! Thank you Deya! I am so glad that the algorithm led me to you because your process is EXACTLY what I needed. I finally got my first remote job after implementing your advice on how to begin with freelancing. The mindset, the planning, and expectations that I needed to take note really really helped. I hope one day you'll blow up!

Girl! This came at the perfect time ✨ I just put in my 2 weeks at my full time design job to start my freelance design business and I’m in the process of cold-emailing and dm-ing people. Your videos are seriously so helpful to someone who’s getting started with running a freelance business 💕

This video is exactly what I needed! I'm currently starting a freelance ops consulting business and cold-pitching is the part I was putting off the most because I hate getting cold pitches myself. But I realized it's because I only ever get terrible pitches 🤣 I'd love to get pitches like the ones you showed in the end 🙀 and I can totally write pitches like that and not feel like I'm bothering the other person. So thanks for changing my mind on cold pitches 💕

This video came at a perfect time for me. Ive sent several cold pitch emails and haven't heard back. But, even I feel a little funny about my messaging + offerings. I've been trying to think on it but you've provided so much insight that it's helped me get a better idea of changes I need to make. Thank you, Deya! Your content is SO valuable.

First video of yours that I've watched. You knocked it out of the park. Took notes all the way through. That first pitch at the end by Stav was 🤌 Great subject line (feel-good story + gift). Doesn't even come across as a pitch. Well done 👏

Deya, this video is amazing, and packed with pure value. You took the time to go through your emails and provide us with all this information. I need to watch it again and take notes. This video is worth of being watched several times. I am a "mid-size" freelance, not new but I want to scale my business. So, this kind of video helps me a lot. Thank you!

thank you so much for this! I've definitely been guilty of the "15-minute call" ask because from my perspective, it's not that much energy, but after hearing your thoughts, I see how that's not necessarily true. new task: find an easier/more personalized call to action :)
@MyNameIsDeya22 күн бұрын
honestly I'm happy to hop on a 15-min call once someone has established 1) they get my problem, 2) they have a good solution to my problem, 3) they have proof they can do the solution properly and 4) they're nice. It's just that most people say 'let's hop on a call to figure out how I can help you'

Thank you for this video. I'm not pitching you. I'm just a fan and a follower. I mostly listen to your videos when I'm power walking in my subdivision in florida. By the way, I just finished setting myself up on contra. Thank you for that. I'm an instructional designer, video editor and animator. And now i'm just continuously linking examples of my work to my contra profile. Your videos on the top freelancing websites really helped with that. I know you're really busy, but please keep making these videos. Sometimes I just run the playlists from your TikTok channel when I'm exercising, just to get all the good Freelancing advice as I multitask.

hype video and pacing and as usual... super helpful! also, quick audio recording tip, i can tell you have some sort of de-noiser and/or gate and de-esser/compressor on your vocals so when you start a word like @ 1:41 with the word "stop" or 1:47 with "skill," the compressors are working overtime and so it cuts out the "st" and "sk" sounds. it basically sounds like youre super nasally and speaking without any teeth at times and its absolutely throwing me off

Great Video Deya. Apologies, I got a little distracted by the cats in the background. We have just got two kittens! Tiny little naughty monsters!!. Maybe I will send you a cold pitch, see how I fare. 🤔 I have been on the planet a long time so I just keep it real and incorporate humour when I reach out. Works for me. Collabs and working with people should be fun and enjoyable. It's not always about getting paid. 👍

omg.. lol! I actually clicked on this latest video to 'cold' comment on it. and ended up spending 17 mins watching this whole video (I watched at 1.5x) ehm.. now it's time to 'learn, adapt, & overcome' ^_^ heyy Deya! thanks a lot for the amazing info. It truly changed the way I pitch my video editing services. And you won't believe I landed a client through it on the very first try! [it's you.. please don't disappoint yourself (me)] I know you have an amazing editor already and you are even creating such wonderful shorts as well. I still wanna offer you my assistance as a infographic and motion graphic designer. Either I can help in creating some animated icons, charts, or an other infographic that can be used in your videos. Or I can repurpose your longer videos and edit various shorts out of them by adding some cute and Kwai animations. You don't have to do anything. I'll go through your longer videos thoroughly and trim out the potential parts that can be valuable to a new potential audience that consume short-form content only. You can add the original one as 'related video' so that they know where the real content is. P.s. I take special care of the over all brand style of the creator. Please check out how I created such effortless shorts for Payton Clark: kzbin.infoiiHbSc4iUOQ hope to hear from you soon. :)
