Just as some feedback for you (since you mentioned you aren’t always sure what people like about your content): I enjoy your content because you appear confident, successful, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. Your friendly and conversational tone makes me feel like I’m getting top secret tips, without coming across as gimmicky or a hidden sales pitch for some other service. I like that your advice is actionable, realistic, and you have the experience and portfolio to back it all up. You are an excellent communicator and clearly understand what barriers keep most people from reaching their professional goals! Keep up the amazing work, I can’t believe you give out all this information for free - but please don’t stop, because you’re making this info accessible and leveling the playing field for people with little to no starting budget. It’s so refreshing to see someone running a successful business, doing what they love, and not trying to pull the ladder up behind them.

I like the straightforward presentation of these vocations. It's so true how so many KZbinrs are trying to sell viewers on 'easy' money such as tossing up digital products, drop-shipping, and the like. I love making items and I have tried to do online retail for my handmade products like my cold process soaps, and quickly found how difficult it is to sell retail. The process of making my soaps was time consuming, the cost to even be able to buy the supplies, the overhead of having a website and trying to film content because it seemed like what I needed to do to get people to see my products was soul crushing. I never even broke even after 3 years- even selling in person and in a physical store... But whenever I have offered skill-based services I had people coming to me and asking me to work. I think the advice of selling services is SO good. This comment is getting too long now lol!

That list is truthful and 100% correct. I myself am sitting comfortably in the B tier right now and have been looking at those channels further down the line. I would never recommend to anyone to start a business in your C-D tiers, unless you already have vast experience in that channel or an unfair advantage with a similar product from another job maybe. Freelancing is and has to be the gateway drug - most of the time.

While I appreciate all of the work you did I am now depressed and discouraged. I have absolutely no desire to do any type of freelance work or any of the startup businesses you suggest. I did work on KZbin for 10 years and I’m glad that you mentionedit is really only a side business at best. After 10 years I earned the same part-time salary that I earned when I first started earning money on KZbin. A huge portion of KZbinrs earn well below the poverty level. I did have multiple sources of income, including two books that I wrote and published selling on Amazon selling digital products and I was paid by a few companies to promote their product products. I still at best earned a part-time salary for way more than full-time work.I still think because I have such a strong creative drive that I am going to have to attempt the print on demand way and just see where that takes me.

If you don’t have a 9-5 is freelancing a good start. But freelancing is pretty much worse than a 9-5 from my experience: you sell your time for money, have to deal with price dumping, have to work long hours and during weekends - at least until you have stable clients. So I wouldn’t really contemplate it as a business… it’s a job. Business means you invest money to make money. This starts at tier C in my opinion.
@katarynekКүн бұрын
Totally agree. Plus, freelancing is not easily scalable unless you scale up your working hours. And very often you have to bid for a job going lower with your price than what you value your time and knowledge. Wouldn't include it as a business.

I believe that service-based businesses are a great way to start because they allow you to leverage your skills and expertise without having to invest a lot of money in inventory or manufacturing. Additionally, service-based businesses can be more scalable than product-based businesses, as you can add more clients without having to increase your overhead costs.

Hey, I liked the video and I have been looking at your videos since you started. Love your journey! :)) I had a slightly different opinion on freelancing and A tier business. I think as you are talking about the best businesses to start in 2025, I don't personally consider junior freelancing as a business. It sounds like any other job. It always does have a potential to become one but still I feel its not technically a business to begin with. But again, my opinion!

I think that many pros and cons of freelancing and product-base business are similar, you just don't mention them. You have to have SOME knowledge or experience to start freelancing as well, it takes time to get clients unless you already have a base (like the audience), freelancing is also highly competitive (like any other job), both give you freedom to work from wherever you want, and freelancing is not as easily scalable. You should compare the same changeables to make a fair scale.

Hi Deya! The job industry is super weird right now 😅 I have project management experience at companies and I swapped to trying my hand at freelancing. I’ve cold emailed people who could use my services, and I’ve applied on Upwork to dozens of jobs, as well as trying to get full time employee work. Nothing is happening! I’ve heard about ghost jobs, and companies being more picky lately, and I have a friend who has 15+ years of marketing experience plus has started and run his own 6 figure company in the past and he can’t get a job or clients either. Anyway, I’d love a video about this topic and some suggestions for survival in this sort of economy. (And honest truth about if you should hunker down and not waste your energy trying to start something, or if there are different methods right now) Thanks!!

Physical product shipping isn't super complicated, but it is difficult to forecast how much to buy and when. Some products take a long time to produce. You don't want to order too many because storage fees, and you don't want too few because lost sales and momentum. Inventory is the toughest part of physical products in my experience. But the actual shipping is easy. Also scaling inventory takes a lot of upfront cash. If things go well, great, but you need to put up the money to buy a lot more inventory and ship it before you get paid on future sales.
