Talking about his voice, WOW, back in the day and for years, he could wail like no one else! It always gives me goosebumps. I just woke up so still on slow mo, but listen to the end of either Jungleland or Backstreets, especially when performed live, and you hear a voice that’s unmatchable! If you don’t know it, there’s copies of those early shows you can download. Do yourself a favor, if you weren’t a fan back then and get you a couple.

Why did he have to espouse his radical left wing BS? Why couldn’t he keep his mouth shut? I used to admire him as a poor man’s Elvis but I realize Elvis had more character not to mention talent in his pinky then Springstern will ever have if he worked at it 10 hours a day for 30 years and he STILL won’t have a sliver of elvis’ class and character as an entertainer

I am 59 years old , at age 52 I found out I am bi-polar type 2 with clinical depression. I was never happy, I thought happiness in others was a social construct to fight sadness, to achieve not sad - not happy just blah. My best days were blah. Now I am on meds, the mania is less sharp, I stay more in the middle between crushing depression, and manic fear. Life is good.

I grew up with a mother who was severely mentally ill, but I grew up to be a nurse working in mental health, I got her illness finally. And accepted it. My mom was an AXIS II PD'S, so medication does not help. My beloved father was a beautiful, poetic, depressed, Scotsman. I recognized and related to him. It took going through school to understand my AXIS II PD'S tortured French Canadian/Potowatomi mother.

How interesting that at 9:50 he says he'll "never record definitive versions of someone else's songs; that's why I have to write." Fast forward a few years: Bruce recently released an album of cover tunes, Only The Strong Survive. Regarding it, he said, “I’d spent my working life with my voice at the service of my songs, confined by my arrangements, by my melodies, by compositions, and by my constructions,” he said. “My voice always came second, third or fourth to those elements…[On this new album], I put my own spin on the singing, and my team mastered and sonically modernized some of the most beautiful songs in the American pop songbook. I had so much fun recording this music.”

Everything was great until we get to honorary recognition by our Presidents. When is Freedom equal to Peace? The lion to lay down with the lamb, and an understanding that our Servant is our Master? We all need each other. We all make up one body. What would we be without our right arm? Our left eye? Just the same, we're only part of a body without any one of us. As an American, I can identify with the meaning: "United we Stand"... May we all stand up with each other, even when a painful delivery could be forgiven.
