I found a desk at the thrift store for 45.00. When I looked it up. It turned out to 2,500$. And it has all its original hardware, lock, and keys. I restored it and sold it 3k$ BEST FUND EVER !!!

You do what i wish i could do. Restore furniture other upscalers have destroyed. And yes paint is a great option if the furniture is in too rough of shape to restore or it's newer furniture that's maybe not even the best quality. But far too many people run to paint right away cause it's easy. Hurts my heart to see a good mid century modern painted. 😢

I just wish it had been a veneer splice instead of putty filler on the damage and a stain for the black lines probably would've been more accurate and lasted longer. Otherwise, this is an absolutely gorgeous piece of restoration! Bravo! 👏👏👏

I have the tall boy of this set. The hardware is supposed to have a tortoise shell finish in thr center but the all brass looks good too
