Nails was such a cutie. I remember how he patiently pulled your finger away between his teeth when you tickled him, instead of just biting you. Also, I still have my Nails t'shirt. He lives on in our hearts.

Happy Gotcha Day, Grape! Enjoy your special day, and Merry Pigmas!🎄 Nails's story reminds me of a piggy I adopted from a shelter I was volunteering at in Maryland. He was one of over 140 piggies in a hoarding situation and he was quite young with terrible mange--it was so bad he was having seizures. One of the local GP rescuers who was also there helping care for the piggies (a lovely lady named Judy) said she wasn't sure that he would be adoptable. I immediately said I would take him, and I named him Jasper. They gave me Ivermectin for him and his hair slowly started growing back. When it finally all came in he was a red Abby with a rooster butt like Grape! He was the sweetest pig EVER and got along with everybody. I only had Jasper for a little under 2 years before he passed away. This was 18 years ago and I have never had another pig that was as sweet and laid-back as Jasper ❤

When I left my previous job at a clinical trial lab, I adopted two little albino guinea pigs (about 3-4 weeks old) from the lab. While I knew how to handle them in a lab setting, I had no idea how to care for them as pets or live with them. Then I found your channel, and it was a lifesaver for a novice guinea pig owner like me. Thanks to your guidance, my pigs have grown chubby and even more lovable.🎀 I’m so grateful for the opportunity to care for them and to have come across your channel. Raising guinea pigs is never easy, but it’s absolutely worth it when I see the joy they bring.⭐️ You truly recognize guinea pigs as living beings and seem to respect them for what they are, which is something I deeply admire. May you and your pigs have a healthy and merry New Year.
