Yeah it might scream rebel but there's so many types of "rebels" now that it doesn't mean "trouble" all the time anymore. Catastrophe I know, I'm just powering through high school tbh. I finally had to dye my hair brown again and right now I'm growing it out. I found that, while most of my teachers didn't care, some do and it affects my grades. I think a big part of it is not even that it's weird or rebellious, but that I'm spending time on myself and they see that as vain or time I should be spending studying... Which is stupid af

I've been bleaching my hair platinum/white blonde for about four years now and it's somewhat unique looking since my skin is brown. I get comments on it regularly but wasn't until I dyed my hair black (my natural color) earlier this year that I realized just how accustomed I had become to standing out everywhere I go. Having "normal" hair wasn't the same as what I remembered and I didn't like it. I didn't feel like myself anymore so I went back to blonde. haha

I got dress coded for purple hair so they called my mom because this was about the 10th time I'd been dress coded for hair that year. My Mother dyed her hair the same purple colour and showed up to talk with the principal. She asked if he thought her hair looked inappropriate or unprofessional. He said but he was so embarrassed the whole time.

I started recognizing pictures from 2013 and I had no idea I'd been following you around the internet for that long! I dyed my hair bright colors for the first time in 2006, after I buzzed my whole head. It's never been a normal color since then and I guess I've just never stopped to think about it before. I suppose after 9 years it might officially be a part of my personality, geez. I do totally see myself with bright blue hair. I'm this way with black hair. I know it sounds weird and basic but I've tried dying my hair many different colors and even growing it out naturally and I ALWAYS go back to dying it black and I don't really feel like I look like ME unless my hair is completely black. I'm glad I'm not alone in this! I always felt like I was extremely weird LOL. Patron Saint of Fashion I am actually really glad to hear someone who is a red head and actually LOVES their natural color. Good on you! I have heard that your natural color changes due to the chemicals in dyes. Personally I've never seen it or experienced it myself. My hair has changed over the years but I don't associate it with dyes, I believe it is through aging. My hair used to be super dark brown, nearly black, when I was a kid. It kept getting lighter all the way through to my teens. That was all before I started dying my hair. So seeing my hair as more of a natural medium dark brown now, I feel is through aging and sun exposure, not because of dyes. That being said, do you! Whatever makes you happy and less anxiety-filled ^_^

You were my inspiration to finally take the plunge and dye my hair turquoise a year and a half ago. I've since also played with adding multiple colours for maximum mermaid (it's turquoise, blue and green right now), but turquoise is my favourite. And it's funny - turquoise does to me what pink does to you - it won't quite leave my hair. I dyed my hair two weeks ago, and the darker blue is all but gone from my hair already, and the green is very light. The turquoise is also fading, but once it gets to the cotton candy pastel stage (which I happen to really like), it kind of stops fading. Funny, that!

I can see you being like my sociology professor. I wanna say she's in her 60s and she was a part of the baby boomer generation so she's a natural rebel against the norm if you get my gist and has had pink hair for 20 years!!! Oh, I absolutely agree with you! I dye the bottom half of my head a bright color, I have for about two and a half years, and I've never given it much relevance. I love how it looks, but it's not who I am. I recently had the sudden wish of dyeing my whole head a non bright color, and I think that's perfectly fine. I hear you about the long hair. Mine was down to my butt crack until a few weeks ago. I cut 4 or 5 inches off, and honestly, I didn't really even notice. It's much easier to manage and looks way healthier. It was so long that it was getting really hard to do things like victory rolls. My arm couldn't stretch far enough to roll the hair down. 😂 Not only that, it's much lighter....and it's still down to my elbows. It's almost made me want to go shorter.....but after watching this video and seeing your long hair, it's made me want mine back! 😫 I'm super impressed at how you can keep hair that long dyed consistently. I wanted to dye the tips of my hair blue for the summer but my mom told me that I have to look presentable and colored hair looks trashy....maybe if you do it wrong it looks trashy or choose the wrong color but if you do it right ( like you) it looks really cool ughhh

It's so weird I can't even imagine you with any other colour you rock the pink, but i do love seeing timelines of things especially hair i' so impulsive aside from my natural hair colour i don't think i've ever had anything over 3 months.

this was so cool to watch. my whole family has very light blonde hair but when I was in 6th grade I went and dyed my hair jet black. now 7 years later I still have jet black hair. it'd cool to see other people with the same type of hair story

I finally got the courage to dye my hair bright red with the encouragement of some of my friends. I don't regret a single thing. It was a wonderful decision and I love it so much.

Cutting your hair just a bit will be a great start to a new year! Plus, it might help with hairstyles that might not stay in place cause of how much you have/how heavy it is. But geez, now I'm motivated to keep my pink hair game level strong! I've only had mine since September but I love it so much! I can't see myself as a brunette anymore. Even thinking of going back is severely depressing! Just been years as a dream and now it's a reality. Sadly it's sooooo hard to keep in. I'm hoping maybe my hair will pull a you and just...not get rid of it the more I color it? The salmon bleach color is kinda weird after a week has passed.
