Great video, as always. I enjoyed hearing about your progress. I’m doing the same “under commit, over deliver” strategy with Spanish and it’s been a huge help.

Hey Seabolt. I have been subscribed to your channel for a while. You are an interesting learner, to say the least. Anyway, I recommend reading "The Odyssey," which is an epic poem written by Homer. This work is one of the oldest extant pieces of Western literature. There are plenty of English transliterations of ancient Greek words contained within it. I suspect that might interest you. Upon reading the poem, you would understand a great deal about ancient Greece, its native gods and goddesses, the stories of the Greeks, their customs, etc.

Hey, thanks! I read part of the Odyssey in high school but remember nothing about it. Now would be a great time to pick it back up and read it, thanks for the recomendation!

Great update. For some reason, I can-t post a link here. Anyway the link to the playlist I send in your first Greek video should now work for you. It was only visible to me before. Men Of Style. About 80 Greek videos with subs in Greek and English.

The last airbenders subtitles on Netflix line up with the dialogue in Greek. That’s pretty rare on Netflix.

@@SeaboltSpeaks Meastro is an actual Greek show that’s on Netflix. There is a lot of sex and nudity in that though, so I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it. Blood of Zeus is pretty great. Greek subtitles line up about 95% of the time, so that can be frustrating because it’s a pretty good show. They’re not terrible, but I think I watched it a couple times just without subtitles. There’s also a lot of silent portions of the show which is fine, but not all that stellar for language acquisition.

Ευτυχισμένοι μαζί is also a show on KZbin that does have Greek subtitles. That’s an older family sitcom from like late 90s or early 2000s. kzbin.info/aero/PL3MgsykMdDFTT8MSl4lxlZRM1ZrQWTecK&si=t5ewVsa7fnLNOlFI

We actually have different voiced and unvoiced "th" sounds in English, too! We just don't use different letters for them, and they don't change meanings of words. (Think "thus" versus "thug" -- the "th" in "thus" is voiced and "thug" isn't)
