Personally think hes right on alot of thinfs when you get to the borders of performance, diet, hydration, rest, recovery, visualisation, reviewing film, stretching, sleep, cross training can all tilt the balance. But parents need to remember you cant put in what isnt there.. meaning the raw materail gotta be present

Fascinating listen. Love the daily habits and marginal gains.. A wise man who is constantly learning as i am and do his research / Continuous learning. A great example of preparing a child for life.. One area that i think parents need to consider is the quality use of “TIME”.. with training, school, additional activities, family, education and the question i ask myself is “Are we as parents /Coaches using our time effectively and efficiently to achieve our child’s development and Goals”.. So many competing demands…

Thanks again for continuing to provide us parents with top quality information and would definitely be interested in finding out more about the programme’s Ruben is planning to release later down the line .

Love the show, but this guest is snake oil sales, this whole episode is of him pumping a product launch he’s gonna do, the whole I pulled out my kid from academy is basically the target market for his product. Not the greatest episode !

Love this podcast and listen to all of them, but this guy is the worst guest you've had on. His son had to stop boxing 'cause he was knocking everyone out 😂 Also said his son can be one of the fastest athletes in the world.

@@mikessmith5177tbh he had couple of good points and angles and mindset stuff, but other 80% of podcast was just incoherent gibberish to what ever product he is selling or going to be selling.

Someone presenting themselves as evidence based yet spouting mostly misinformation, clearly doesn’t know how to critically evaluate scientific evidence. Just shows that because you coached a good athletes doesn’t make you a good coach. Amazing athletes will perform and improve many times regardless of how optimal their training is due to being genetically gifted.
