Such a clean and orderly city. It’s mind boggling to see how their authorities manage to keep cities with huge populations so clean.
@andre5095

Yes most areas are kept very clean. They have street sweepers at nearly every corner, it is mostly older people but it is great for them that they can keep working, most Chinese of their age are not as educated as the current generation. When I first arrived I thought the e-bikes were dangerous, and thought I would never buy one but that all changed once I saw how convenient they are and no accidents.

It cost the Chinese government alot of money to keep the street clean considering how the older generation chinese likes to litter every where. Communist gov isn’t like what the western gov keeps telling us. The chinese have real freedom that are practical such as Safety ( you won’t get mugged) , security, peace, freedom from hostile news towards others,. Banning foreign harmful news within the country isn’t necessarily a bad thing if one sees the bigger picture.

Another thing in China, they will never get pissed off with you if you don’t speak their language. In fact they will try to help you if you have any difficulties. In the US, you might get mocked for speaking foreign language. That is a clear difference in culture and upbringing

Welcome to China. Now you can see for yourself the reality of china vs American propaganda fake news. My perception has changed since coming here. I believe you’ll have a similar experience like me too. Once you speak the language a little and understand their culture, you’ll know how things can be done differently. Alternatives really do exist.

As a Chinese,I would like to say welcome to work in China.I have been to more than 30 countries all arould the world including Australia.Australia is very beautiful country ,and several years ago China-Australia was in a quite good relationship.But I still believe most people in two countries are kind and not hostile.Unfortunately,western media reported too much nagative news and ingnored the improvement and our government´s achievement.China is the future and we become more and more confidenct.As long as you know the Chinese culture,you will recognise how hypocritcal and double standard the west politicians are. It is hard to most western medias to report the real China.As a expat ,you really need to do is tell the truth of real China.Thanks for your sharing of real China.

The hygiene issue (the elderly spitting as you mentioned), well because no one told them that's not the "right" thing to do - the generation grew up in poverty and were handicapped by lack of education. Such habits and customs were formed without self conscious, it's like you are more likely used to have burger, pie, beef and corn soup for daily food rather than rice and soup noodle, can't explain why, it is just it is. Hope you don't mind, and this is not an excuse but a fact.

Soothing voice...I’m planning to teach in either China or Japan, hope things will go well for me🤞🏻 Actually the splitting thing is common in Asia among older generations but fortunately this bad habit is disappearing as younger generations don’t actually inherit this bad behavior especially in bigger cities.
