I appreciate that people offer this service. It is so healthy and beneficial for a new momma! I actually encapsulated my own placenta after my baby was born. I dehydrated and encapsulated mine with the same encapsulator she has. I also made a tree of life placenta print and dehydrated the cord into a heart. If you don't have the money for this service, you can totally do it yourself. Congrats to new parents out there. 🥰

post partum hormonal imbalance which can cause ppd, ppa, weight gain, fatigue, low milk supply. not scientifically proven but many women have said it helped their pospartum experience in comparison to not doing it prior.

Animals eat them so predators don’t smell the afterbirth. They also eat it whole and raw immediately after birth. Processing with heat renders the hormones inactive. The temps and times they dehydrate with/to are not enough however to kill the various pathogens found in placentas. Crunchiness is a competition. This is a new practice since about the 1970s there is no literature documenting our ancestors eating placenta. There is no science to back up the long list of supposed benefits of placentaphagy. This is a grift. A baby has gotten sepsis from GBS infected placenta pills. Placentas filter microbes and heavy metals. The prints/art is cool but having a healthy baby is enough for me.

A lot of animals eat their placenta to get back the nutrients they have lost in giving birth, obviously in humans is not necessary since we go to doctors and can get those nutrients back easily. However animals also do that to in a way "be closer to their cups" and so a lot of mothers feel like it's a good a idea to do the same, plus is literally just meat and would be trashed anyway, so it's a personal choice of the Mother. I have seen on yt some mothers cook them in like vegetables and rice and so on, (remember it's just meat) this woman is just doing them in pill form so that it's "pleasing" to the eye to ingest. It's for mothers who want to eat their placenta but not actually go to the process of cooking/cleaning Remember if you don't get why something exists, it's probably because is not for you.
