Katie, because your bars of soap often look edible (despite us knowing it’s soap LOL) why don’t you try making fudge that looks like a bar of soap you’ve made? The consistency of chocolate fudge before it’s chilled seems similar to soap and could allow for soap making techniques to be used on it so why not try it as a fun experiment? Lily can join too because its a really easy recipe!

Thinking about the silver hearts, and next year for the holidays it would be neat to do a "silver and gold" soap, like the song from the stop motion Rudolph. That song is so nostalgic and I think it would be very pretty!

I actually quite like the darker look. Black with a purple and sharp pink, kinda a galaxy vibe is my aesthetic. I mean.. with cats.. (as you may tell by my pfp, *unless it’s been changed by the time you see it*) wait…. CAT SOAP! MAKE A CAT SOAP! YES I WOULD TOTALLY BUY THAT!!! With little triangle ears in the soap frosting! The only Nutcracker I've ever seen was the Barbie version when I was a kid, so I don't really have an answer for the question! 😂 But you mentioned "Gothic Sugar Plum Fairy" and now I wanna see how you would make a whole gothic line!! Katie, just an idea, could you do a soap where you do random small „oopsies“ in the process? For example mix from dark to light instead of light to dark, messy layering of random colors, add frosting before the soap hardened, not spritz with rubbing alcohol, add left over random embeds… 😅 wouldn’t that be fun?! To go with the vintage/retro holiday theme a jello salad (the ones that come in a bundt shape and no one really eats but are nostalgic) would be cool. Because you could cut up colorful soaps and then put it in a white cream base to mimic the dessert. And a fruit cake since most come in a rectangular shape... Before we had kids, my husband and I would go see The Nutcracker at out local theatre. I don’t think he particularly liked it, but I love it. And the Russian dance is my favorite. So upbeat! I like this one! Also, Katie: Tempest by Mad Micas isn’t CP soap stable. I found out the hard way when mine turned super gray. I also didn’t mix mine with anything, though.

My absolute favorite dance in the Nutcracker is the dawn. It’s what happens right at the beginning of Act 2 before Clara enters the Land of Sweets. And the music is just gorgeous and the dance is always beautiful. I also love the Snow Queen dance at the end of Act 1. But all of them are really lovely to be honest.

My favorite dance in the Nutcracker is the finale. I love the music, I love when all the different dancers come out and give tiny little homages to their dances, I love when Clara wakes up from her dream. My daughter danced almost every part in the Nutcracker over nine years and I’ve watched it hundreds of times, but finale always has (and always will,) make me cry.

Dance of the sugarplum fairies has always been my favorite in the nutcracker suite. I love your soaps, and I love your videos, so first let me say that. I always see a lot of soap makers that a sugar plum fairy soap every year (And a lot of them do) everybody seems to do purples for the most part. But every nutcracker suite I have ever been to and or watched on TV and or on KZbin, the majority of them their costumes are in creamy pinks and very few ever do purples. So I’m just curious if soap makers do “Sugarplum fairy“ soap in purples because of the name? Just curious.

The Sugar Plum Fairy's pas-de-deux is gorgeous (with her candy prince), and easily my favourite dance. Followed closely by the entire rest of the ballet. But as far as music is concerned, the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, Dance of the Snowflakes, Waltz of the Flowers, Russian Dance... I mean yeah, I LOVE the entire ballet.

I don't have a particular Nutcracker dance that is my favorite, but I DO have a particular favorite version of the Nutcracker. You can't beat the version with Mikhail Baryshnikov and Gelsey Kirkland. Both of them were once-in-a-lifetime talents. Gelsey was probably one of the few ballerinas that could hold her own with Baryshnikov. Plus, I grew up watching that version on PBS every Christmas Eve, so it has MASSIVE sentimentality for me. If you haven't seen it before, go watch it now!!! :)

Question of the day: my favorite dance from the Nutcracker is probably the Flowers at the very end. I might be a little impartial tho since my best friend is the Flower Queen this year in my community's Nutcracker ballet.😍 The show is in 3 days and I'm super nervous for the both of us (I'm in it too)!

My favorite dance in The Nutcracker is "Dance of the Snowflakes." When I was in college, I actually sang with the ballet for the performances.

For me, it's the Dance of The Sugarplum Fairies and the Russian Dancers. The Nutcracker was one of my favorites to watch when I was home sick as a little one, but only the one with Mikhail Baryshnikov as the Nutcracker Prince. :-)

I love it. The Nutcracker is a tradition for my daughter, granddaughter and myself. We try to go to our local ballet company’s production. We’ve been going since my daughter was six and she is now 35 and my granddaughter is 12. My favorite dance is the dance of the snowflakes. This is a beautiful soap and fits the theme perfectly.

My daughter danced in The Nutcracker for years. My favorite roll she had was one of 3 Russian Stacking Dolls (Matryoshka) during the Herr Drosselmeyer gift giving. In the production it is the music right before the ballarina and soldier dolls. Black, red, and gold were the colors.

Which Nutcracker ballet to watch is a question. There are so many. My favorite is from the 80's. My favorite dance involves the lion. I also like this soap. I feel it's more cyberpunk than goth, which is fine by me. Loving the silver.

Everything Nutcracker is fun, but I think my favorite is the snow scene! SUCH a beast to perform, but it's so stunning. Last year I danced the Snow Queen at the studio I teach at!

As someone who danced with the Moscow Ballet in their Great Russian Nutcracker for eight years, I've come to hold the Nutcracker in a special place in my heart. My favorite variation/dance would have to be the Russian variation (Trepak) with Waltz of the Snowflakes as a close second.

Ok, what is wrong with the gothic sugar plum fairy aesthetic? Would that be so terrible? QOTD: my favourite is actually the sugar plum fairy! I remember reading that Tchaikovsky was charmed by the sound of this new musical instrument and ordered one to compose the music around it for the ballet. It ended up sounding very magical indeed. I forgot what it's called though.

I performed in the nutcracker ballet for 10 years and I think my favorite dance was either the Russian Candy Canes or the Danish Marzipan. The Russian is so fast pace and fun and the Danish is slow and gracefully beautiful.

I haven’t seen the nutcracker in a few years but I’ve always loved Queen Candy Cane’s dance!!!! Music wise dance of the sugar plum fairies takes the cake!!!
