I don't think we'll see the best of Nunez and Gakpo till the international break is over. Arne clearly has a plan in place for both of them. Our season is atleast 50 games long, the one person I feel worried about is Robbo, he does look a bit out of pace and depth. From the tail end of last season, he hasn't been as effective going forward as before.

I agree Klopp was great but it all got to dependent on emotional interactions & response while Slot is just here to win football matches using strategies and tactics. And in one fell swoop at half-time against Ipswich he put his marker down & the proof is that second half performance. If Jurgen had subbed Quansah we'd be thinking oh he's annoyed with Jarell but I don't think that's the case with Slott. It's not personal it's about making the necessary decisions so we get the three points. Quansah is probably pissed off but he shouldn't be this is just football played at the elite level. Should've been 3 or 4.

I love how good Salah is looking and how he's matured into this well rounded beast of a player, a real team player with incredible vision, if Klopp gave us one thing he gave us Salah, before Klopp he'd have left for Barce or Real by now to further his career, but he had no reason to leave with Klopp at the helm, but I'm so excited by Arne now too, so far getting him in seems like a master stroke, and to think I didn't have a clue who he was before they announced him! 🤣

As an initial Slot doubter, 🙄, I LOVED his subbing of Quansah at HT. He proved to me right then he has the minerals for this job! 👍😉😂 Even at 0-0, that sub being made, I realised this guy is different, VERY different to Jurgen, and that may well work in our favour! Him explaining/lecturing to Quansah on the bench as the 2nd half got under way was very interesting too. Yeah, this could be good I think, but let's get to half a dozen games before getting too excited. 16-18 points from them, I think we're good for top 3 at least.👍👍👍

I love listening to Arne because he has a gravity about him, he is 'no bullshit' and a very clever and talented coach....amazing that LFC have found another really cool manager, the rest of the prem you're listening to robots, Thomas Frank is cool, Emery is a genius, Ten Hag looked like a little boy shitting his pants from day one....but here at LFC we're proper on it....awesome....😁 Glad you put together the Gravenberch clips, he's a really silky player who was compared to Bellingham back in the day, maybe we've got a diamond here? Slot pulling the kinda ruthless tactical gangster move I haven't seen at Liverpool since Bob Paisley. I also haven't seen anyone who even vaguely suggested that bringing Konate on for Quansah was the thing necessary to put in a second half performance that good. The brilliant thing is that while the player's were buzzing with the win & the clean sheet they're all motivated thinking "Shit, this man is ruthless & I really don't want to be taken off at half-time like that". Yes it's very early but I was seriously impressed with Mr Arne Slot.

Slot likes to focus his training around ball possession and player strength (I see medicine balls being used). Hopefully, this will translate into more wins, more clean sheets and less player injuries. Great for some of the more injury prone players like Jota and Konate.

It's a big if, but it would be amazing! Jota could score 20 in the Prem and 30 across all comps is he stays fit for the season. Even if he only picks up one injury that isn't serious and misses 3-4 weeks, Jota could still get 30 across all comps. Salah can hit the same numbers, if not a little higher so bring in Anthony Gordon and our potential first choice front 3 could notch 55 goals in the Premier League alone... A lots of ifs and buts, but let's have some positivity amongst all the transfer doom and gloom

Quansah was getting bullied in the first half but he's still a young lad and will improve physically. Love Slots tactical analysis of the first half identifying our weakness and being pro-active. The difference between the first half performance and second was night and day. joined your fantasy football league by the way. I did quite well this week. It will no doubt be a false dawn though and my FPL team will fade into obscurity much like every season. 🤣 YNWA

I know it’s early doors but I think given time Gravenberch could be the long term 6. I would like to see Bajetic flourish as his understudy but I think Gravenberch could one of those once in a lifetime players from that deep lying playmaker role. He’s incredible on the ball and he has an eye for passes that most only dream of. Of course he needs to work on consistency but he hasn’t had a solid run of games since Ajax but if he can become become a solid back line screen he has all the tools to be special. He kind of feels like a new signing again to me.

Feyenoord fan here. I was amazed at the Liverpool players. How fast they understood Slot's philosophy! But they are one of the best players in the world for a reason I guess. Many English analysts said that Liverpool had a difficult first half. Not true. This is Slot's WV defence strategy. Slot calculated Liverpool would get a goal against them but it did'nt happen. You also saw the confidence in the defence. Then he knew Ipswich was doomed. Just a few little tactical changes was all he needed to do. In the second half you saw the famous 'Hot Zone' wich we have seen many times in the Dutch league. This is the zone just outside the defenders box. His players overflowed this zone with his 2 'number 8's' and a fullback. Gravenberch was suddenly the second number 8. If you look back, you will see both goals originated from this Hot Zone. And there were many other chances. I saw the same beautiful crosspasses like Feyenoord did with Slot as the manager. If the Liverpool players keep this up, they will only get better and better. I even think the will win the championship this year if they keep this up. They will lose sometimes naturally, but in the end you'll see they are number one. And one other very important thing. He's famous for making individual players better. Gravenberch is the first example. But others will follow. I fear some English Liverpool players will become so good, you really have a chance at the World Cup. This I don't like. 😢

Ryan has an exceptional platform to build on. His ability to take the ball and turn into space is amazing. Thiago, Gini and Mac10 can do it. Dom, Trent, Endo and Jones can’t. They play the way they face, which is not a problem, but you need players who play on the turn. His long balls were amazing. He won the ball back all the time. If he develops. He can be a world beater.

Interesting about Berch Tree. I think endo is a bit better as a defender (great at crunching tackles or safe play stopping fouls) and his aerial ability. This video shows that Ryan was decent at interceptions and moving the ball forward, which I totally overlooked live. I’ll give it time, Slot seems legit!
