That guitar sounds absolutely monstrous dude. Those antiquity pickups are incredible. Perfect EQ to my ears, great dynamics, not smoking high output, and further proves you don't need something with 16K+ resistance or actives to get good modern metal tones with a good high gain amp. Great taste with the lemon burst too. Definitely my favorite "burst" color by a mile. They just look so good with aging.

The Seymour Duncan antiquities in this guitar are great pickups. I have an old set of them wound and aged by Seymour himself and they’re the clearest most ballsy Paf pickups I’ve ever played. They’re awesome!

I don’t mind the headstock on Heritage guitars, it’s a much better design tuning-wise for the common problem people have with the G and D binding in the nut, good setup or not. Also, I finally pulled the trigger at Sweetwater on that Stealth head using your affiliate link, so I hope that nets you a few bucks!

West Michigander here rooting for the Heritage guitar Co. I went to the 100 yr anniversary celebration of the Kzoo plant. Took a tour and was able to demo their gear, it was the first time I ever touching a higher end guitar. I was a beginner then, that experience stuck. I will have a heritage one day. I’m waiting for the double cut “solid body” guitar style. I hear rumors, hope they expand their guitar models outside the LP style. Harmony has some fun guitars I love too.

I’d love to see Heritage release a modern version of an LP - you know, classic single cut with modern appointments. I’d also love to see them sell a much more affordable line of guitars. I really bet Heritage could do budget proud. And yes, ditto on the headstock.

I asked them if they could make me a an SG years ago when I toured the factory. The guide, who was a super cool guy, said that they could, but he’d much rather make me an LP design. His words. As an SG user, I’d rather do business with Heritage, and I’d love to see their specs on that type of model. Maybe it would stay in tune for once.

@@bucknasty69 thanks for the tip! I’ve actually wanted to get some for my two SGs forever, but always had something else I needed to get instead. I have Grover’s on one SG and it still has some tuning issues. Not usually a problem at home but live it can’t be trusted haha
@bucknasty69
@bucknasty69 Жыл бұрын
@@thetribalist6923 No problem! Locking tuners really do make a difference. I put them on every guitar I buy if they don’t come with them stock. My personal favorites are Gotoh Magnum Locks, but they’re going to take a little bit of routing or filling if your guitar isn’t routed for them. Grover makes locking tuners in vintage Kluson and Rotomatic styles so they’ll drop right in on most Gibsons, and ought to make your SG stay in tune nicely. Locking tuners also make changing strings a breeze.

Hey Kyle? About to head stock… am I wrong about this? isn’t it a mirror image of the traditional Gibson open book head stock? If so, then the symbolism is more powerful impactful than the visual effect. Maybe you can put two head stocks together and see if they fit if so then …..🎉 wow!!! Knowing everything about the guitar history if that theory is true …. Well, then I love it for that reason alone. love your channel Kyle!

The design of the headstock on these was to lessen the string angle though the nut to lessen string bind. So in that respect I prefer the Jackson Aerohead over the Jackson Hockey stick headstock. Straight pull headstocks have less tuning problems.

For what it's worth, heritage guitars is no longer owned by ex Gibson employees and a few years ago there was a labor/management dispute that saw many of the original ex Gibson employees let go. Not that it matters for the guitars, but if they are trying to push the "heritage" aspect of the company, that no longer applies. And not all Gibsons are weight relieved and have short neck tenons. You can buy historic spec Gibsons. From what I can read Heritage does use genuine Honduran mahogany and nitrocellulose lacquer finishes, like gibson, but doesn't use hide glue. And again, not all Gibsons use hide glue either. But just going over some of the "historical specs and differences. Heritage seems to use good quality hardware, pickups and pots on par with Gibson. Although pickups are definitely a matter of taste. I do take a bit of exception with the premise that they are the equivalent of Murphy lab custom shop guitars for half the price. I'm not saying they aren't a good value for what they are but they are not custom shop guitars. Even Heritage has their own "Custom shop" range. So saying these are the same for 1/2 the price is disingenuous, IMO.
