Let go of trying to make sense of a bunch of stuff, just listen to what the narrator says, make your choices, and take everything as it comes. Do some unconventional stuff, be unpredictable, and enjoy the ride. That's really all there is to it. I noticed recently that many KZbinrs and streamers have an extremely short attention span. Idk if this is because they have a limited amount of time/ doesn’t want to bore the viewers. But they will often skip dialogue, in-game reading, tutorials, on screen tips, and almost anything that would slow them down. Normally this isn’t a big deal with most games, but It’s annoying seeing them try to “rush” a slow game. They often end up confused or not enjoying the game since they sped through it instead of taking their time, which ruins the experience for the viewer and the streamer/KZbinr.

If you're confused, basically this game is a meta commentary about game design in the game with good game design. But this also a game about mind control, yet this game is also a game about a the nature of a narrative tropes in video gaming... it's also a game about the free-choice yet it's about the illusion of free choice (which is basically confusion ending). Or it's just a funny game with jokes and gags. Even reviewers are not sure how to describe what is this game about.

This shit was like a first person Undertale before Undertale when it came out. Undertale had the whole Earthbound/Mother 3 aesthetic going for it though, on top multiple characters aside from, say, a single snark fueled narrator, and so it's persistence throughout the test of time was greater. On a side note, look in the achievements. There's one that tells you to "go outside" or at least there was in the original, and the only way to get it was, no joke, close the game and don't play it for like... 5 years. It was CRAZY.

A big theme this game explores is the idea of choice in videogames. So many videogames have "choices" that are completely meaningless and do not impact the outcome. It also explores how obedient a player will be. Will they just blindly follow everything the narrator says? Or will the explore the odd parts of the map, fiddle with doors, sit in a broom closet for seemingly no reason just to see if something happens? And how long will it take for a player to try these things? Or will they never realize they had choice to begin with?

It's about how some games pretend to have a choice, but they don't actually give you a choice and it doesn't change the story at all. Stanley parables the game with the narrators telling you a story but you can go against the narrator or you can go with him and where you diverged in the narration, changes your story and your ending and there's over 20 different plus endings. Why don't you just stay in your office for one and or stay in the room closet for some more funny endings?

@AfroSenjuXL: I'm scared of a manican as well but I did not leave the ending, if you would have continued that ending the manican would have disappear, because you said you did not play the stanley parable after doing the main ending fully obey the narator, this include using the detour and get back on track, even when you fully obey the narrator their will be choices leading to two diffrent ending, saying yes you play the stanley parable before doing just the two ending in the mine control fesility, and the museam ending you get the new content door, saying no you did not play stanley parable you would have to do other ending, and begining the game again does not count as you complete the ending. in the new content the manican will show-up again but it will not be a situation where your trap with the manican.

Afro love the content bro but this game is all about making decisions and seeing the outcome. The entire game is based on the story which is a master piece itself but hard to appreciate if u just keep talking over the narrator. Just treat it as if u were watching an anime but instead the anime gave u different choices as the anime progressed.

Bro Afro usually I'm with your energy but this time you got me f*cked up. Slow down. Listen to the narrator and actually enjoy the experience. This ain't that type of run through game you're used to. You really had my eye twitching.

stop quiting your runs by begining again. its better for you to just continue because there so many endings its hard to repeat endings unknowingly

ima be honest, i dont think i can watch you play this game; i like your commentary, but im also trying to listen to the narrator, as well.....and it clashes, and seems frustrating to watch... this isnt a game that i wanna hear you talk over, tbh....so ill have to play/see the game and come back to this... EDIT: ok...after playing the game 8hrs, and coming back and being 20minutes into this video...i realize now what kinda game this is....i wont say much....but i see what your friend was talking about... each person definitly should play it for a moment AND film themselves doing it...or find 2 or 3 different youtubers to watch play this, after their first couple hours on this game: this game is basically a philosophy on choices in video games/life....no matter what you do, youre going to have a unique story, and every choice you make will impact the furthering of your experience and the story, regardless of whether you follow directions or not....everytime you restart...the game takes your previous run into account(narrator included)... so everytime you start from that office, its gonna be hella different..but also the same... i got to a point where i had a "skip" button...and got the narrator to shut up forever...

You know, I found your fear of naked mannequins weird at first, only to realise I have a similar fear, only in the exact opposite. I find naked mannequins natural and normal while clothed ones made me uncomfortable. Wild how that works

This was pretty cringey. Trying to listen to you talk over the narrator was an awful experience bro. Just chill and let the game do its thing.

I think afro mindset was too much of “where’s the content” like bro you ARE the content with a game like this 😂
