You'll never be ready. None of us will be. We aint engineers or architects. I feel myself accomplished when I make 2 story with 16 assemblers that produce Versatile Frame in a 40 meter building like a kid who builds a sandcastle. These guys are gods.

@@Hvorgandr it's also about time and persistance. It's 1400 hours of building. If he started when the game was released on Steam it would take over 2 hours a day every single day since that date. In reality you won't be able to play every single day and we don't know when he started but I'd assume it is closes to 4-6h a day every time he is able to play. This is not something a lot of people are able to do with 8h shift and family unless they are streamers. You may be the most talented in the world but it still takes time to create something like this. Also, let's be honest, not many people can endure playing the same game for over a 1000 hours no matter how good it is. The highest I got is PoE (around 1400) and it took me 8 years. Don't get me wrong I am not saying that what we can see here is anything less than amazing, just that along that talent you need time and resources to pull it off.

I Love the variety of styles, and the scale is astonishing. If I was ever going to count satisfactory as “completed” I think I’d want something like this, but I don’t think I’ll ever want to stop playing this game - because you can do things like this.

trick is to unlock everything before you start committing to specific builds or you'll spend a trillion hours retro fitting and renovating.

I'm always in awe of people's builds. Meanwhile I'm still staring at a map with colored dots, marking node locations, trying to figure out where to place everything, while also destroying my sanity with math. Also probably doesn't help I restart every update in case of factory breaking changes.

I'm with you! I've restarted so many times and I hate myself each time. I struggle with design plans and the math, and warehousing, and transportation, and just making a decision on what is best for me. Every time I watch a video like this it gives me ideas and I want to start all over again!

You know that huge rock sculpture thing above the pink forest with all the stone arches coming out of it? I had a huge build there above the trees before that thing was added. Then one day I logged on and discovered my world was basically trashed. I later started over and I'm working on a new world now but ngl I quit the game for a bit after that. :D I guess what I'm saying is: don't hate yourself for starting over. At least you didn't get super far and then discover you had multiple factories inside terrain. :D

I'm playing this in April of 2018 Easily spent over 4000 hours across multiple saves. I'm always in awe of all a good talent good talent from all of the different builders. I love the fact that supports are coming soon reminds me of hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy. Vogon ships hang in the air the same way bricks don't. Seriously super cool design

Great video and factory tour! I am in my first playthrough (~180 hrs) and after having been inspired by watching videos like this, I am attempting to make a huge (400m x 400m x 200m) box 'mega storage & factory' just to get the experience. It's going well; I have tier 1 copper and iron products coming in now but I've had to build 2 extra 32 gen coal plants (3 total-I don't have fuel gens yet) just to power the lights on the first two floors 🤣(for trains when I get them & then storage and bus floor).

Loaded this save file today. It took a few minutes to load, i had 22 fps on the lowest settings and my game crashed shorty after. The question used to be: “but can it run Crysis?”

4:00 I just did this for mine and couldn't aggree more. Balancing is paramount for efficiency, and craming into 1/2 foundation height is the (difficult) goal.

I'm up to making 6000 aluminum ingots so far on my best world. Still got some bauxite left also. Came up with a decent design to recycle the waste water back to the start. So far it's stayed balanced without having to mess with anything for about 100 hours so far. Aluminum used to be the worst for me. I found just doing a huge set up for it all at once helps with balancing all the waste water

Pro tip if you are thinking of downloading this save to take a look, turn off auto saves and turn your graphics to medium or lower... On a i9-12900k and 3080 I was getting 60 fps and my game would freeze for about 30 seconds every autosave. :)

I went ahead and downloaded it. The actual gameplay was not frozen for me and FPS was acceptable even with GeForce 1070 8GB. But saving and loading took half a minute or so although I use NVMe SSDs. I checked Task Manager during the saving process and noted that only one CPU core was running at 100% capacity. That might be the reason of the slow loading and saving for such big files. I remember reading patch notes and there was something about loading optimization there. We will wait and see. I'd love to see my Ryzen 5900X operating at full power in Satisfactory.

Absolutely stunning factory! Has anything in the ratios or material on the map changed recently? I did the calculations a while back and with maxed Bauxite and got to 103.4 thermal propulsion rockets

Never mind - getting to 103.4 TPRs requires not using nuclear power because it also maximizes Nitrogen and Quartz usage

You are right, max propulsion units is more than 60. But due the choice of receipts I am running out of bauxite (most of the receipts were set in u3 and before propulsion units existed :D)

Wow I have a moble tenth gen i7 on my laptop and it would burn itself into slag with this many objects. Can't wait for a new gpu so I can use my desktop 10th gen i9 computer since that is the only way I could run this map.

Got it to load, but trains kept crashing into each other and tried to drive one. Game would crash then. Turned off the autosave mode as someone suggested and gave my 5950x a 60% workout with a flyover to see everything. GPU didn't do much most of the game.

Everything all right with update5. The new rock landed just right next to my storage building. And the trains were build with signalling in mind 😀

I have download the map just to enjoy the view, it took like around 3 minutes to load the map on a ssd and then the game is not really responding when the loading is done, the map take 20 gigs of ram from my 32gigs, got a i7 9700k & 3070ti can't even play the map T_T

If you put the rail through the ground the train will drive through, in order to place it you need to be under the map
