Most of this stuff is standard for Oro mains now. Bafael has done an amazing job teaching fellow Oro mains how to play him in 3s. One of the main downsides of SA2 is you can't do its main unblockable setup however people found out years ago that if you do c. HP you can knock them up into the Orb. It's not guaranteed but it's a hard to parry situation. The dash under mix-up has been a thing for awhile. If Oro times it right though it becomes pretty ambiguous on which side he's going to land on. It's also quite matchup dependent since characters have different sizes and fall speeds. Then in the corner Max gets hit by the EX orb unblockable setup. Harder to do than the standard SA2 but if done right the EX orb will hit on the other side. Honestly don't think Oro with SA2 is the same mid tier that people have put down anymore. He can do FAR more with it than with Tengu Stones in 3s.

If you stick Oro close enough to the ground, he won't do the backflip animation from air chicken legs, that allows a small window for close mp while the character is in *juggle state.

@@siinxx7656 they will both parry close mp at the most effortless way possible, air grabs will happen and way more will air tecs, an master oro player can charge partition from dash into either 2+mk or 5+mk into yanma, one of oro weakness is the lack of punishes for anything less then - 6, bc close mp has 5 frames of startup, unless..... you can charge yanma, release the charge and do jab, during the 3 frames of startup or hit of jab, press up and any punch button and now you have it, a 3 frame punish that requires absolute perfection of execution and does quite a good dmg+ knockdown ( this is actually really good against tatsu from both gouki and ken ). At many other things, i could write a whole essay about this character, but yeah it would be a absolute show of skill if 2 Oro masters faced each other.

I'm still confused on why the Aegis set up is unblockable, does Aegis count as a body? You only have to block to the side the player's body is on in like every fighting game, why would Aegis being on one side make it unblockable?

Third strike doesn't work like that you have to block every attack on the side it is coming from therefore unblockables are entirely possible

It's relatively easy to parry out at the basic unlockables at Mid-high level. (Down parry, back parry, towards parry back throw for the common forward MK. Unlockable Setup) Which means Urien has to have different setups depending on the characters "weight" and wake up timing, both of which aren't universal in this game. But it's one of the few things that make Urien viable in this game besides his huge corner damage, which requires decent charging ability and takes a good while to be consistent with.

He's not terrible by any means. But the way his kit functions, there's a lot less synergy with how everything works together, which gives him a lot of really specific confirm windows and tech, that most people just don't want to put the time in to master, when there's a whole cast with better accesibility in that regard. But I do think as a charge character his "guile" gameplan is decent and works against the average player, lol.
