When buying any cartridge based games especially ones that are $100+ you should always have them open the games in the store to verify they are original. You never know what kind of issues you could run into trying to return it if it’s a repro since they can’t verify you didn’t swap out the board yourself after it leaves the store. Any store that won’t do this for you I wouldn’t buy from.

@@LeadMe2TheBliss Not really the skills of owning a store. He's just doing what he had been for years. Buying from stores and marking it up is much more profitable without the overhead of a store. A store just helps keep steady profit coming in where doing arbitrage can be very tricky these days now that everyone is doing it.

FYI, another way to see if a N64 cart is a repro is to check the back and look at the word Nintendo. The dot on the i will be around if it's a repro. Original carts have a square dot in the i. It's not all the time that repros are like this but a good amount of times they are and a good way to start checking before having to open the cart.

Great games if you don't mind paying ebay prices for them. The thing about ebay is that between shipping/fees/tax the seller makes like 20% less of whatever the price is. So if a game is like $100 free/ship on ebay, the seller is making like $80 off of it, which is why people like to sell at flea markets/yard sales at ebay prices, no fees/shipping so they get to pocket that extra $20. Something people should be aware of, especially Rick.

12:20 it's weird that we would even think the store owner would change the price on a game to match the ebay price. The store owner didn't pay $40, or $30 for that matter. It's not a tragedy if a seller doesn't get the maximum amount possible for a game. Especially if you took time to drive to them. Storefronts are too greedy nowadays.

Vintage stock is so wild man. There are quite a few around me and the prices just don’t make sense. Some stuff is way over, some right on, and some way under. Sure that Skeletor isn’t the Walmart 2000’s reissue? They’re slightly off colorway from the original. I have the set of all of them mint in factory sealed cases. I have all the multi box sets except the JC penny fold in set! Keep your eyes open for it! “JC Penny MOTU Retro reissue box set!” It’s supra rad! Take that price sticker off, using a regular hair blow dryer! Heat it up and it won’t effect the factory back! It’ll be Ultra clean after!
