Small ripper shanks would probably work better than the pipes. They are cheap and hardened so they don’t dull so fast. There are a lot of farm implements that rip followed by some sort of beater bars to break clods like your spiked pipe does. It’s a solid methodology for prepping soil. This application needs a device that rolls in both directions which you managed to do pretty well. Enjoy your videos and learn something almost every time.

Looks like a fun thing to build. As someone that grew up on a farm, i'd probably just have looked for some auction to get a cheap used cultivator and maybe cut it up to make it smaller if it's too much for the little tractor to handle.

I am a retired industrial contractor and we did a lot of design build in our shop. My experience with Evolution metal cutting saws was not good.
