Happy Birthday brother. That was another amazing and awesome gift fishing with John. And of course you had some wild and crazy going on. I'm pretty sure I don't want to know how those dudes got in the creek/river or what they were up to. I guess a normal parking spot was out of the question. I knew when dad said "It takes all kinds son " that was not a compliment. However I will be at my brother's combo 55th birthday and Halloween party on Saturday and he's requested me doing my Matt Foley motivational speaker SNL impersonation which I have the full suit for the night. The choppo in the 75 size in bullfrog has been getting it done for me. It got me my PB- 17 3/4 prob 2.75-3lb smallie. Another that’s been surprisingly good is a belly weighted berkley fluke in white. The last honorable mention is Storm 360 GT Search bait. All have been producers for me this year. Man, inflatables have came along way. I got rid of mine due to the fact I couldn’t keep it positioned and the stability was sketchy to say the least.

Happy birthday man! You are the king of the weird situations but this year I ran into some guys who backed a truck so far down into Truman Lake that they were swimming up into the bed like a swim up bar. They got stuck and same thing, doors open music blasting and totally ignored my presence.

Come to arkansas. These kinds of a holes ruined our little smallmouth creek with their side by sides. Can’t find a backwash anywhere where the mud isn’t rainbow from the hydrocarbons washing off and into. Seen them park in 4 ft deep holes at the end of rapids and use the roof of their jeeps to jump in the water. Absolutely terrible people.

Some years ago I got on a really crazy bite with that thing. Running point to point on a highland reservoir style lake throwing on those points. Wind was ripping but we caught one on almost every point. I've never replicated that bite since.

Ive actually seen this done quite a bit up in the Carolinas. Went for vacation and I saw a big group on 4 wheelers with massive snorkels just absolutely tearing up the river bed. Didn't catch a single fish in the entire 3 hours I fished either. Beautiful scenery but I'm pretty sure they fucked up the ecosystem somehow. Everywhere else I fished I caught fish in seconds after casting.
