After a crazy wildfire season in Oregon this summer, we head out for some winter bass fishing at a local pond. We stick to the usual techniques, but something happens in this trip that I've never seen happen before!

I've heard the ponds around Thompson Slough are good. The Long Tom River is also good for bass fishing. Plus there's always the nearby reservoirs

Honestly, I'm a steelhead noob myself, lol. Salmon I've got down, but I've yet to land a steelhead. I plan on making some trips; just need work to slow down a bit first 🤙

I caught a 12lb Brown trout when it ate the 6” Rainbow trout I was reeling in. Good times.

We usually hit it up in the fall/winter, but haven't gone there in the spring/summer; seeing the stuff that looks like a camp on the other side

I hooked a baby bass I was pulling it in it started freaking out but I got it in. I unhooked it and went to throw it back. And out of the deep the biggest bass I'd ever seen smashed the baby bass right when I tossed it back lol
