Great video! Killarney will always be my ultimate. The La Cloche range takes my breath away each time.

I went to Killarney for the first time this year, and I LOVED IT. I made a video about it!

Wow! Thanks for this video. I did not know there were so many parks in Ontario.

Have been to most of these parks. We are so fortunate here in Ontario.

This video, and others like it have been a great help in planning my summer adventures. You really can't tell what a park is like by their website, so hearing the honest opinion of someone who has been there is great. Algonquin should be on everyone's list. You could spend the rest of your life exploring it, and still not see it all. We love Arrowhead - awesome beach, and, easy accessible trails.Charleston Lake north of Gannanoque is nice too, as smaller park on a smaller lake that's a nice paddle. But for me, the King is Bon Echo. Maybe because I've been there more than any others. Not quite as old as Algonquin, but almost as much history. A nice shallow beach if you have little ones too. It's breathtaking it the fall, but can be busy at times.

You need to go to Bon Echo! Deepest fresh water lake (Mazinaw ) in Ontario and head waters of the Mississippi River.. Enjoyed your vid - some parks I’d never even heard of👍🏻
@MyWanderingVoyage3 жыл бұрын
Yes! I actually went to Bon Echo after this video was made and loved it! I have a video on it!

Great list but craigleith??? I hated it for pretty much all the reasons you listed haha how many PP have you been to now?
@anitas82163 жыл бұрын
My personal favourite is Sharbot Lake and with Silver Lake less than 10km away that’s one not to miss (as the bathrooms make me think I’m glamping?)
@robertpearson87983 жыл бұрын
I think that Bon Echo would have been on your list if you’d ever been there. I agree with Killbear, one of our favourites, and there are several on this list that we hope to visit in the future.

Yes! I went to Bon Echo shortly after this video was made and I loved it. (I made a video all about it!)

Where did you get your wooden frame, I have the scratch map you have as well. Also what size is it?
@MyWanderingVoyage3 жыл бұрын
My dad and I built it. For the frame, I used barn board bought from Home Depot and for mounting, I used a thin hardboard and spray adhesive. It's not perfect, but I like it. :)

The beauty of Silent lake is that it allows you access to Kawartha Highlands park--30 minutes down the road as well as Egan Chutes prove park. Of the plus 40 we have done, I feel Killarney. Mississagi, and, gulp, Algonquin are the best all round for hiking, scenery, canoeing and local attractions.

Ahh I've been looking for something like this. Thanks for the great summary. Planning my 2021 camping season you have given me more ideas. Grundy Lake is one of my fav sites as well.
@BookemDeno3 жыл бұрын
Grundy Lake is one of the best parks in the province. As a kid I would go two to three weeks every summer. I got lucky and was able to get a site along Gurd Lake in Hemlock for Labour Day weekend this year.

Great overview of the various parks. Like others have said you need to "pump up the volume". I was at max and had to strain to hear you. Thank you for sharing your experience of the parks. I will definitely try to get to some on your list.

I loooovvvve Ontario Parks!! I moved from Quebec 5 years ago and I’ve camped in about 10 so far. Voyageur is close to me so it’s my Go to. My favorite is Chutes so far (I love waterfalls). I’m going to Algonquin and Killbear this summer!! Very excited!
@MyWanderingVoyage3 жыл бұрын
That's so awesome. Chutes is pretty cool! I've only visited on a day trip when it was pouring rain, but I still loved it. Killbear is such a great park! I hope you have an awesome time there.

No Restoule.?
@barryconstant3 жыл бұрын
Restoule (love this one..do the Fire Tower trail! ), Samuel de Champlain (again, great trails and a museum to explore) and Mashkinonje PP. Mashkinonje is a non-operational, day use park, and getting a little over grown, but for bird and wildlife watchers, it's absolutely wonderful. Thank you for your list. I will be adding them to my must see list !
@MyWanderingVoyage3 жыл бұрын
Yes! Those parks sound fabulous. I've been hoping to hit up Restoule and other eastern Ontario parks this year.
