Super cool technique! I thought I would share a story and give you a giggle....Several years ago, I went to a party at a friends place. One of her friends came in wearing a really neat patterned shirt and I said to my friend, that would make an awesome scrapbook background, she made him take the shirt off so we could scan it and you guessed it, use it in a layout.

I did this. Doing a scrapbook page about my daughter in her highchair and couldn't find the perfect paper so I got my husband to remove the back of the seat, photo copied it and made a gorgeous page.

I’ve been inspired by a co-workers shirt so I took a photo and mimicked it with stamps and ink. Made a card and gave it to her. She loved it

I found scrapbook paper with denim pockets on it. I made cards by cutting out pockets, think there were 12, and crinkled a piece of red bandana paper behind for a hankie. Came out so cute.

Jean pockets are so fun to incorporate into a card! Using real jeans on a gel plate is right up my alley and I'm ready to give it a try. I have a jean pocket background stamp that I've had for years (I think it was one of the first stamps I bought!) and I've found it never goes out of style for card making! It's great for putting money flower die cuts into. Another idea is to use brads not the top corners of the pocket ; they add a nice touch.

I am in the same situation with waiting for my husband's Levi's to wear out to get the pockets! He wears them for work and when the knees or other parts get worn, he wants me to patch them, then when they've been patched a few times they become painting clothes or a "donor" for patches to other pairs of jeans! Next donor pair are also going to donate to my craft stash!

Brilliant idea, and could be adapted for all sorts of occasions. The jeans effect looks so real that I was worried about you having difficulty doing the rub-on over the thick seam of the pocket - then realised of course it was just a flat piece of paper! I've only just got into Gelli printing and can't wait to try this.
