I've wanted a chrome HG Hyaku Shiki for decades. It finally happened.

Bandai really wants you to jump though hoops to get a the new High Grade Hyaku Shiki in gold chrome. I just had to spent $3.

Mine is not shiny gold but I got the Gundam Base limited set with Z Gundam and the mk2. Very pretty imo.

I painted my hg hyaku shiki with a gundam marker once and I’m glad that they didn’t make it chrome from retail since painting chrome is a pain

That reminds me. I have two different chrome silver markers I've never used. I should test them to see which looks better.

Thank God new Hyaku Shiki is not chrome-only in regular retail like Delta. It keeps the price low and makes painting and customizing easier. One can of spray paint can fix it/buying a nice bootleg. Also, personally I really don't like chrome finishes on kits. I'd take a nice metallic paint any day.

Fair enough. We all have our own tastes, and there should be both version; but they should both be easily accessed.

WHAT!?! I remember seeing that version on Ebay once over a decade ago. It was super expensive, and I've never seen it since. Congrats on getting it.👍

I have that one, and it's pretty good, but i still like more the golden hyaku shiki of the Zeta three pack, the metallic golden looks better than the golden chrome

Unpainted gold makes it look like a unfinished resin lol. But I have fears on chrome plating since your prints would be stuck in it

From what ive heard, jms, the guys that bootleg the kits, actually improve some stuff on the original kits and they do undergate them

Ya, pretty much all the KO's I've been building lately are undergated. Kinda sad that Bandai rarely does it.

Not too bad of a bootleg but I don't think I will ever like any model kit that's in gold because they're almost always in fingerprint how do you have to wear gloves a whole lot of the time if you want to oppose it or do anything with it, then there's the issue of the joints will probably start giving out for random reasons and finally nubmarks everywhere. Like it looks cool don't get me wrong but damn.
