Love your videos. Islip is pronounced "eye-slip". Long Islander here who worked for CEC from 1996-2002. Worked in Commack (which is closed), West Islip & Hempstead. Started as a party hostess, did all other positions and left as an opening coordinator. LOVE all these Chuck & the gang!! Also, this location never had the glass frosted design windows in the cutouts in the showroom. I was around when the West Islip location was being built.

Store info: The West Islip Chuck E. Cheese’s opened on December 10, 1998 with the 1990s remodel. In the late 2000s, they upgraded to the interior-only 2005 remodel. Around 2016, the exterior was updated due to a minor plaza remodel. In early 2017, West Islip was featured on an Inside Edition report about CEC’s fights and alcohol. And as of 2024, their Studio C Alpha stage is one of two Studio Cs remaining in New York state, with the other being Nanuet, in which they are preserving their Studio C Beta.

I actually grew up with this location, and I’m sad that Chuck is no longer there. 😔 I used to love watching him perform when I was little, and would constantly try and see over the desk and imagine if I could stand alongside him (though, I’m pretty sure my parents would NOT let me XD). They also used to have the camera pointed to where the ticket blaster is, and I would have my younger sister stand in front of it so she could be on screen (which we thought was very cool!). There was also the console that allowed you to view the whole store, via-security camera style that I loved to play with. Another thing my location had (from what I’ve seen seems to be rare) was this giant ride where you sit in a giant chariot with horses that rocks you back and forth. Was definitely one of my favorite rides back then along with a helicopter ride that lifted you to the ceiling when using the petals. My family and I long since moved nearly 8 years ago, and I still miss that place to this day. I wish I could’ve said a proper goodbye to Chuck while I still had the chance, and I doubt the company will be keeping and Studio C Alpha’s in the future (though I’m glad they at least kept a Beta, shame they won’t program these guys anymore). Anyways, glad you managed to visit there before the re-model. I haven’t seen the inside of that place in years and this is the first time I’ve seen it since then. I’ll definitely miss the tube maze where the trampolines are now. I liked climbing in those.
