I am from Finland rural area farm. We always had cats. Not are they good as company and friendly to humans and good as pets and family members. But they take care of the homestead as well (if you are too lazy hooman). Never had any problems with rats or mice or creepy crawlies at all. Silver Fish or Mouse infestation?... They'll clean it right out. Cats takes care of the home. Dogs guard it. ;)

Ive tried to get them some veterinary care, but they are still too wary of humans and difficult to trap. It can be frustrating, but I respect their lifestyle.😺😸

Getting them fixed ( the Japanese ones) would certainly cut down the overpopulation problem. The colony I feed never have kittens, but that might be because they are all females.

I've yet to see a call stray. Of course I live near mean people so that's likely why the strays I feed are slow to trust humans. Took a year of feeding 2 of the 5 for 2 to warm up to me and let me give pets and hand fed treats

yeah, my long cousin brad rodgersons used to literally catch the strays and rescues from all around the town and he would clean them all and the whole cats at a time hed cook rotisserie over a fire in the field by the woods acrosse the alley. thats how the cops caught him. nothing happened they were just freaked out. laws was different in them days. -Jed

This is a beautiful thing to have an island just for cats. While most look healthy there are some that look too skinny. I also see signs of eye infections and flea infestation in some of the cats. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to ensure that all cats are healthy and disease down to a minimum. When I am able I will donate. Many prayers of blessings and good health for the cats and those who care for them!

This is so AWESOME! What a cool place to visit. Thank you for posting this. It was beautiful, and also educational. I wish they had a place like this in every single state in the United States. An open space for visitors and tourists, but also residents that help feed and take care of them. It would be so much better than some of the shelters currently up and running. No cages. If you seek for an alternative, Turkey is already like this place. Especially in cities, towns and villages. Me as a Turkish person it’s a very familiar view for me. Just visit a village,town from somewhere in Marmara coast, almost same. If you try to make a barbecue or something they have a potential to create an army from like nowhere in 10 minutes. Great trip and yeah finally you visited Cat Island. What a kawaii cats. Every fighting cat in this video always been involved by Orange Cat. Ah, that moment when you met famous and rare cat, yeah I think that pattern is rare, but as far as I know the cat with three colours of fur usually girl cat. I hope you also visited other islands which is rare on KZbin, and by the way, there's error in subtitle which Aoshima written as Qingdao which is unrelated.
