I Visited the Secret Island Where Billionaires Holiday

I used to go to St Barts every week or two when I worked on cruise ships. I believe they ended up stopping most ships arriving as our passengers were not the type of tourists that the island wanted. St Barts is beautiful and there are (or were) some amazing restaurants there. It was 300 dollars for dinner for two back in 1997, god knows what it costs now.

the people that actually live there hate it. it's a very strange place with underground secrets and natives aren't allowed at any of the tourist locations. they also have these auctions that only exist to evade taxes. Alex Monopoly last year was auctioning his art there and a single ticket was $125,000 that's just for the entry ticket to the event. if you're a business owner you go to this place to evade taxes.

hey ben. I Was born in colombia but i lived on saba. its really close to st.barths. ive been saba for 18 years and never have i visited st.barths. for me its to expensive lol. but you should really visit saba. its the worlds shortest runway and a very nature/peacefull island. also mt.scenery (saba volcano, yes its a volocano but its dormant) is the highest point in the netherlands kingdom.

There were no natives or culture in place on the island, there were natives who once lived there, another tribe slaughtered them then pretty much left the land until the white man found it in the 1600s, theres your fun facts of history for the day

If you've ever watched million dollar listing new york, on the show they go to st barts quite often and sell properties, its so insane how much money some people have that arent famous. Looks beautiful though and its nice to see they have cheaper places to visit & rent for a vacation :)

$1063 for three nights for what is essentially your own apartment with a pool is pretty cheap, good value. I've stayed at places much more expensive than that and all you get is a hotel room.

yeah that room is actually cheap. if he got a normal room no pool no view not modern not big and if he skipped restaurants and did normal grocery shopping it wouldn't be expensive at all. like any other place luxury is expensive and eating out is a luxury in 2024.

Fun Fact! - The tortoises that are in the video are called Red Foot Tortoises (Chelonoidis carbonaria) this species isn’t actually native but thrive in the Caribbean climate and the first mention of the species in St Bart’s was in 1815 :)

With that price, I would prefer to tour around Papua or around Asian beaches in general. They have cheaper options and plus the rainforests beat anything thing, of course, you also get extra special case of mosquitos.

There has to be something sketchy and secret about this island that only the people at the top of the food chain are aware of; because there is absolutely nothing nice about this island. I;'ve seen better beaches in Islands like Roatan, Honduras. There is no activities, no nature... it really lower than mid. I would honestly rate this island like a 2/10. Something is happening there and we are not part of the club.

Great video! Honestly not sure I’ll ever go there. Looks extremely crowded, very inconvenient. And kind of annoying space wise, like crammed together. The Hawaiian islands seem more enjoyable, more space, more beautiful beaches etc (and I’ve been there several times) than that place looked. Think you finally statement summed it up about not coming back till your a millionaire. Basically wasn’t beautiful enough to waste any more of your money on. Blessings
