I Waited 2 Months For This Snackbox Micro...& I Love It [Unboxing]

Snackbox Micro unboxing. I've been waiting so long to try it and see if I'll switch from the Hitbox. It does not disappoint with full-on RGB, portability, and the low profile that I've been searching for. No more wrist pain. Planning on a full-on review between the two arcade sticks.

In case I don't end up making a follow up video on how I feel about the Snackbox Micro now that I have had it for 3 months now... I still love it and is my main controller for anything compatible with the Micro! My biggest problem that I had with the Hitbox was that I used to have lingering pain on my palms from when I used it and it was hard to have good form with how tall it was. I don't have pain when I play on the Snackbox Micro and it is easier to use proper form with its low profile! I have more praise to say about the Snackbox Micro and and very minor gripes I have with it that I could share in a future video, where I simply talk about my experience with it so far. It's great seeing this in action a little bit. I'm definitely intrigued to secure the micro and Mpress. Waiting two months would be no issue compared to the 5-8month wait for most physical Switch games ordered from companies like LimitedRunGames. The only real issue at this point is the non-existent stock for both the micro and Mpress. Thanks for the video!

would you say that the buttons on the snack box are better than sanwas on the hitbox?

Personally, yes I would say the Snackbox buttons are better than the samwas on a Hitbox and I think its thanks to the Snackbox's mechanical switches. I haven't tried out the other Khail switches that can be hotswapped, but having the option to hotswap to clicky, tactile and/or linear is pretty neat and can really change the feel of the buttons. The switches themselves are pretty inexpensive as well and Junkfood has a guide on how to hotswap the switches. The Hitbox also felt great at first but then over time my finger tips started to hurt a bit from using the Hitbox. I don't have that pain with the Snackbox. They both feel great to press, but over time and despite the pain with the Hitbox, I think the Micro buttons feel even better to press imo.

Also, it sits well on my lap and is comfortable in my opinion. I used to have the same worry before I bought it. I thought I would have to sacrifice comfort in order for the Micro to sit well on my lap and not fall or slip off. I think NihongoGamer does a great job of showcasing just how flexible you can be with the Micro, if that is your main concern.

You said your hitbox doesn’t have an L3/R3. Is this the version that only has 3 buttons at the front?

Technically the Hitbox has 4 buttons, but two of the buttons only function on exiting Guilty Gear Strive at the start menu. I have not found a way to remap them to function in-game. So there may as well be only 2 buttons with the other two being useless. Again, this was for GG Strive and I'm not sure that would be the case for other games. On the other hand, the Snackbox Micro was able to remap all of its buttons super easily. Hope this helped!
