Inadvertently really informative about how packs work, I didn’t know they were pulling out of a constantly updating pool, I think we all assumed the packs were pulling from whatever seasonal pool they were gained in, this video was like archaeology but for Siege 🤔🤠

I save all of my alpha packs/bravo packs for my fiance to open after i finish the battle passes or when the season is done. Every time she opened a bravo pack this season she got black ice. I will continue to save packs and only let her open them from this moment forth

Alpha Pack Rewards are pulled from the pool when you open the pack, not when you earn them. Meanwhile with Bravo Packs and Event Packs, their rewards are chosen when the pack is earned.

So as for why you got new stuff... picking something when the pack is generated is an extra value to store somewhere and another thing a hacker could potentially influence, so it's easier to just randomise when you open it, hence the short delay while it gets its instructions from the server :-)

Packs arent individual rarity placeholders, they're more like tickets into a skin pool lottery which pulls from the current skin pool, not the one from when the "ticket" was made

Been playing R6 off and on for years. My main account, I’ve only pulled two pistol black ices… I was Diamond on that account, made an alt to play and get my friends into it about three years ago. Played a good amount on my alt, had renown to buy 100 packs or whatever the most was (haven’t played in a year) 20 packs in I had Ash’s (main) R4 black ice and the 416c black ice for Jaeger (mostly main). By the time I finished I had the mp5 black ice, G8 (one of my favorites), mp5k, smg-11, smoke’s shotgun, and a few others that were sought after that I can’t remember. Basically I never used my main account that I was Diamond on again and the highest I’ve gotten on my alt is Plat 1 and I’m happier being Plat 1 without my cool charms and having all the black ices than Diamond og charms with nothing. Lul
