Listening to this song unexpectedly created the impetus to forgive my dear sister for her suicide. I ran down the stairs, started the car, bought flowers and drove to the cemetery, where she lies for nearly two years. I told her I was sorry for the anger I felt towards her. That I love her and that I forgive her. The pain is still breathtaking but I can finally begin to heal. This is what this song has done for me. Thank you.

I do not know, if this will help you....I want to believe, that we are souls who pick the body we need for that special next life. Souls are travellers through time and space. Knowing, that a material body will always be subjected to material laws. The Lord of Time and Matter, also known as "Gevatter Tod" or Father Death, has different ways to free the soul from the body, when it has learned its lesson. Suicide is one of them. We usually don't blame our loved ones, when a heart attack kills them. Or they die in an accident. Or they "just pass away". But we tend to be angry, if they put an end to their lives themselves. No need to feel guilty or put the blame on them. It is the end, the soul has picked for itself, long before it chose a body to live in. The only thing you have to do, when somebody "chooses" to dis-em-body himself, is to pray for the soul, who is now travelling on. For a safe journey into the bright, white, beaming light, that hurts the "eyes" so much, that the soul tends to avoid it. So they reincarnate. So you can also pray for a good reincarnation into the best circumstances. But pray...there is nothing to forgive! They came, stayed for a while...and travelled onwards. Let go! You met them, you loved them, now let them pass on. So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love (1 Corinthians, 13). Be blessed...

Females are not to be forgiven for causing any deaths regardless of who. My ONLY real life friend I interact with was falsely accused of pedophilia, and that created a mess in my life (and his). This may be the most beautiful instrumental song I've ever heard and do not take that lightly. I visit it time and time again and it hits like I've heard it for the first time every time. The wistful and longing feelings I get from this encapsulates the ever growing distance and dimming of beautiful innocent memories I've cherished over the years. Usually that happens with music from the time. This is a bizarre and timeless exception. For those who are struggling with being stuck in the past. Remember that new and potentially more beautiful memories will be made when we let go of the ghosts and let those times fade away. Let this song represent that. Have a good day.

this music did two things for me that no external help nor other music could do for me - it made me feel more at peace and less devastated over my grandmother's death when i was 11 and all the woe that surrounded the events up to her passing; it also helped me process the crushing feelings and emotions from my various childhood trauma. i simply sat down and looped this particular track as it kickstarted and helped me through the healing process. Scott Buckley, thank you so very much for making this track. it touched my heart, my soul, my entire being, and is still helping me till today. i think this track will always be here to help me even when i find other tracks that'll provide a similar experience. you really opened my eyes to the miracles of music. 'I Walk With Ghosts' is an exceedingly beautiful track. thank you once again.

I discovered this track in the wee hours of this morning when I couldn't sleep. I am utterly speechless at the impact it has had on me. Like many of your other critics I too keep playing it. It is so profoundly beautiful managing to touch something long lost within me that hasn't seen light since before I knew how to remember. And yet words simply do not do the effects it has had on me justice. Thank You! You are truly blessed indeed with a very powerful gift.🕊

I first heard this song a year ago …I had been in labour for about 12 hours, laboured through the night on a very cold February. This song started to play when I looked out my bedroom window and could see the sun starting to rise. I couldn’t believe It had been all night and started to feel so tired and doubting how much more pain I could take. But I remember this song so well. I remember it matching my mood so perfectly, all the mixed feelings of being exhausted, mentally and physically drained, but also hopeful, excited, scared, all mixed in 1. This song makes me want to cry every time I hear it and brings me right back to that moment. It’s the only song I remember from labour/giving birth and it wasnt long after this song played I gave birth to my daughter. it’s the most beautiful song ❤

Words fail me. This masterpiece stirred my somewhat broken heart. It stirred it more than i care to admit. I indeed walk with ghosts from the past. I'm grateful for your talent Scott Buckley. This piece reminds me that " death is not the greatest loss, but rather what dies inside of us when we are still alive". Headstones in my heart has for too long weighed me down. I'm inspired through this to plant a proverbial garden around those stones and rather visit and revisit the fond memories. Again thank you Scott Buckley, you have blessed me greatly. this music is absolutely breathtaking! one detail that I'm obsessed with is the nearly inaudible, muffled words uttered after 4:20. I don't know how to describe it, I like to interpret them as the voices of people long gone, which does make sense considering the song's title "I walk with ghosts". Also I can't believe I found this music from a video about the history of the London Underground network, guess you never know where you'll discover new beautiful music haha

Indeed it did. And the planets were ejected one by one, until only Earth and Mars (And possibly Venus, if it was lucky enough to survive the 90% chance of being eaten by the sun) staying bound to the sun, until they were drawn towards and crashed into the sun in a sort of ironic, final death-hug of their fallen parent.

This song recalls memories of my father, who had passed away ever so recently. I always meditated on impermanence, always seeing ghosts. But only when they become but memories do we truly see impermanence as the nature of this worldly life. Very beautiful, thank you for making this.

I don't know how you managed to capture this so well Scott. War "survivor" here and I too walk with ghosts. Lost family, friends, neighbours, myself and my sanity to war. We cannot lose the memories so we walk with them. No one around us sees the ghosts that acompany us. It is a lonely journey with the hope that the end will bring peace to our troubled souls and reunite us with the loved ones we lost. Free Palestine.
