I agree 100%! I have mold toxicity, Lyme disease, parasite overgrowth, Candida overgrowth, and Hashimoto's disease. Hi Alana! I just quit drinking, and its my 5th-6th day and I am also struggling with withdrawal symptoms and its really hard. Some things that have helped me are: -Going on 2 mile walk/run while listening to music -Watching youtube videos of coaches telling you steps on how to quit something/how to safely go through a withdrawal process -JOURNAL THE PROGRESS: Journal every day and gather evidence that will prove to you that your making the right decision. (This one has helped me the most). Write down all the good you feel and all the bad to get it out. -Alone time listening to music and praying and taking deep breaths, lavender oil, fresh air flow to the room, comfy blanket Hope you get through this girl, Im right there with you! ❤️

As someone with a 4 month old if you’re serious about having a family one of the best things you can do to prepare is getting your nutrition in check! Pregnancy is so depleting on the nutrition stores of the pregnant person and you will really set up your future baby and self as much as possible for success by having your nutrition in check for a good 6 months before trying to conceive. Get those fruits, veggies, omega 3s, and vitamin d in!

Alana, I have watched your videos for years and you have been sick on and off frequently, if I recall. Here is my best advice (I am in my last year of medical school in the US) and coming from someone who used to be frequently sick: - sugar and processed foods feed bad gut bacteria and 70% of our immune system lies in the gut - more than 90% of our serotonin is produced by gut bacteria and gut signaling - a variety of fruits and vegetables provide a lot of nutrition (focus on ones with color and limit high-sugar fruits) - you're right: no one diet works for everyone. Please avoid carnivore and keto (high fat, high protein) and juice cleanses - they are linked to organ damage - best advice is to keep a food journal and allow 7-10 days before deciding a food group does or doesn't work for you - most common food groups that increase inflammation in descending order: processed sugar, dairy, soy (and other legumes), gluten, corn, high fat foods - best place to start :) Best of luck on your journey, love your videos and congratulations on your marriage and new home!

And you’re definitely smart to have made a decision to take your health and your predispositions to stroke and diabetes seriously, and act accordingly! For what it’s worth, I’m a holistic practitioner. Yes, diet is huge (and everyone can agree that McDonald’s isn’t healthy), but you should also look at your environment. You’ve been doing a lot of renovations and should be extra cautious with what you’re inhaling/absorbing. I wouldn’t be surprised if you have the MTHFR gene mutation as well, which makes it harder to detox (and is linked to blood clots). Oh, and Mediterranean diet is widely accepted as one of the healthiest diets!

Hello my love! As someone who deals with PCOS + used to struggle with insulin resistance/hormonal acne, the diet that I fall back on each and every time is a whole foods diet prioritizing organic/local meat and produce. I was vegan for 8 years and wound up with a whole bunch of health issues due to my reliance on processed sources of protein (i.e. fake meats and dairy products). I still personally try to avoid dairy because I’m lactose intolerant, but I don’t think there is anything wrong with having it (as long as you can try to make sure it’s organic and antibiotic-free). I personally also stay away from faster-digesting carbs because of my tendency to have issues with blood sugar. This diet, which is primarily focused on high quality protein, healthy fat, and fiber from in-season vegetables has put my PCOS into full remission. Plus - I only get sick like ONCE a year, if that! Our bodies are really not meant to consume processed foods at the rate at which its advertised to us on a daily basis. Stick to what has as few ingredients/preservatives as possible, and you may end up feeling a whole lot better sooner than you think. I hope you recover soon, Alana! We are all rooting for you. ❤️❤️❤️

If you are predisposed to blood clots/strokes, you can take fish oil. It acts as a very mild blood thinner which helps prevent the clots from forming. Vitamin E also acts as a very mild blood thinner. Some people who have this predisposition take low dose aspirin as a mild blood thinner daily, however that carries side effects and risks and should only be done in certain cases when prescribed by a Dr.

Pregnancy is it’s own magical unicorn btw, so you could have a normal low risk pregnancy. I come from a family where no one has any major health problems and everyone has all had low risk pregnancies. I was in extremely good health before I got pregnant and I had healthy balanced diet and I lifted weights every other day. I ended up with preclampsia and had to deliver early at 36 weeks. I spent the whole month of November in the hospital due to high blood pressure. After I had my baby I ended up getting sepsis which is also extremely rare for vaginal deliveries with only 1-3% occurrences. I also went into acute respiratory failure which was very scary. But in the end I was very lucky to be alive and not have any major issues afterwards. So you can go from having no health problems to having life threatening complications or you have potential risk factors beforehand and have a low risk and easy pregnancy.

Hi, Alana! As diabetes is an autoimmune disease, I would suggest you to check out your antibody levels. Conventional medicine may not necessarily recommend this as a preventitive measure, but tracking that number is crucial when it comes to autoimmune diseases. This will let you know if you already have some processes happening in your body that will eventually lead to diabetes without the lifestyle interventions. And changing the lifestyle to change the direction of your condition and feel better/be healthier overall is one of the main principles of functional medicine. If you already have high antibodies and your body is attacking itself, that might also be one of the reasons you get sick easily and take long time to get better. This is the case for me for example, as I have an autoimmune thyroid condition, my body is so busy fighting itself that any extra invaders get less attention from the immune system than they need. Remember, prevention is ALWAYS SO MUCH BETTER that the treatment and aftermath later on. You are already on the right track as diet is the first and best place to start. Wish you the best on your journey as you create a true connection not only with your mind and soul, but with your body as well!

Dear Alana and anyone who needs encouragement, I personally got delivered from an addiction to an unhealthy habit and which I leaned upon to feel good. Anyone who struggles with fighting a habit or addiction, I urge you to bring it to the Lord, I used to struggle when I tried to stop my addiction and fighting temptation on my own was hard, but then I started praying everytime I felt tempted and here I am....I think 2 years or so FREE from that addiction and any temptation to do it. EVERYTIME you feel temptation ask the Lord for strength to fight it and then distract yourself from thinking about it as much as you can, it will be hard and unpleasant in the beginning and you may fail some times (I did), but don't give up for: “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13) and “Resist the devil and he will flee from you” (James 4:7) I hope this may help someone🙏 and Alana, I'd like to see your health journey 😘😂

On my mom's side there's predispoditions of autoimune diseases and breast cancer, on my dad's side diabetes, kidney stones and high blood preasure. When my cousin got cancer at his teen years I freaked out because I always thought it doesn't happen to healthy young kids. Then when covid hit, it's like the virus pushed all the bad stuff to the surface - I got kidney sand and my lymph nodes went crazy because of the hormone disbalance- I was scared it was 🦀cause my grandma was diagnosed with it after she had the same thing happen to her the same year. I healed from both but they both would come and go untill I started eating healthier. I am telling you the diet is 80 % of it. Antiflamatory vegetables and fruits, fish, fermented food, greens full of antioxidants..ehinacea and various teas /shakes for your imune system.. those bad things never came back( thank God). I have to say I thought it was going to be hard for me to give up coffee, dairy , some meat and sugar, but once you realize that you yourself are causing these health problems with your diet - you know you have to stick to the healthy eating and you want to maintain it. Nobody can make your body healthy for you💖

Hey lady! First of all congratulations on everything!!! 🙌🙌 keep on making those positive changes and you'll feel so much better once your body isn't fighting those inflammatory foods! Denying the flesh makes the spirit stronger! ❤ I have a few reccomendations that may help if you wanna give it a go or just keep in the back of your mind! long days on your feet and traveling, compression socks may help, just chat about it with your doctor and see if that's something you can do for preventing blood clots. Also cayenne pepper can really help thin your blood the same way asprin would, i mix a teaspoon in water with honey...I know its hard to take but way easier on your liver if it's something you'd need daily 😊 Also don't sweat the blood sugar being a little bit higher. If you were pre diabetic I think you'd have seen that number being closer to 200 and depending on the last time you ate or drank anything, it varies greatly. My dad is type 1. As always best of luck on your journey! Love your videos! Prayers for great health!

After trying lots of different diets I’ve found I feel my best and have the best digestion when I’m eating mostly pescatarian low sugar low processed foods. I’m so happy for you guys!! Also Tim’s filming and editing skills are phenomenal; the order that you guys showed everything and bounced around between different scenes and little snippet clips and just everything was just *chef kiss* Also just curious what happened to your dalmatian. Did you rehome him?

Alana the last clip killed me you are SO CUTE! 😂😂😂🤍 I pray for you to be able to resist McDonalds. I noticed that you mentioned it in the last 2 or 3 videos pretty often and i was already like.. oh i hope it‘s not an every other day thing. Because this high processed food is really bad. But i know that your body will forgive you and eating it once or twice is not going to hurt you. But try to make it less attractive to you so it gets easier to resist it! I always suffer from abdominal pain after eating there and i also get diarrhea all the time (sorry for this not so nice detail 😅). You have your husband, your dogs, your family and god and all of them love you and will take care of you. I believe in you and hope for you to get better soon! And I am really excited for your next video already 😌🤍

I'm so happy you're living the life of your dreams! About the health stuff, I'm so proud of you for making the decision to quit fast food. Food has the biggest impact on our immune systems. Have the Dr's checked your iron and vitamin D levels? If not, I would ask for that. After I started taking liquid Vit D3 + K2 and got prescribed iron for my anemia completely stopped getting tonsillitis. I had tonsillitis 8 times in 2020. It was 8 times in less than a year. I was getting it once a month, I was so desperate I wanted to cut my tonsils out. But then I talked to a Dr who tested my blood and got me on these things, and I've NEVER once had it since.

Mach is pronounced correctly :) It’s the German word for doing or working 🙈 for you blood: you can inform yourself about the differences between healthy and non healthy cholersterol & healthy and non healthy oils ☺️ I heard blood sugar is a also trainable (not in the stage of diabetes, then ist to late) there are foods helping to regulate blood sugar Reaktion like cinnamon.

or looking into the weston a price way of eating might also be helpful :) there’s is a lot of „junk food“ where if you make it yourself with healthy ingredients it’s actually healthy for you

14:26 also, very very important: don't eat snacks throughout the day, eat only three meals, so that your insulin has time to drop properly. if you keep eating your insulin absorbtion decreases because insulin is always on a high, therefore causing diabetes
