He’s been around forever and is a huge fan favorite in sports, GOT, etc. in that panel he seemed so nervous he just rapid fired everything. He’s doing the same thing in the official HBO pod and I have no idea. I’ve been a fan of his for over a decade, and he hasn’t done that for anything else.

@@matthewr7593 yeah - I think the biggest issue is there was no setup, he interviewed as if it was the 3rd or 4th season, and the audience knew the characters and story already, so it made no sense to most of us. complete buzz kill for has turned out to be an amazing series so far. He was worse than Hodor ;)

Its one thing sitting down with a couple of actors for a chat, and a whole different game when theyre stood up in front of an audience, and the whole cast in front of them, with time restrictions etc. It always just feels awkward

I think Matt smith is a legend and love him as an actor. However I’m deeply disappointed with the writing of this show. Daemon isn’t, in my opinion, anywhere the grey bad ass character from the book. I think this show is as badly written as game of thrones was after season 4.

I think he's just not that well articulated. His character didn't set out to infiltrate the Targaryen family or play the game. It was only after his heart was broken by the princess and him dishonored his vow for nothing that his character turned dark and started plotting the downfall of the princess in revenge.

What I like about this show is Alicent seems totally like someone who in the modern age would be that perfect soccer mom. Sweet, kind, protective of her kids. But in a completely different age and under totally different circumstances, she is something else entirely. And I suppose thats always what I've loved about Martin's works. He tells a story about humans. Not a story about good vs evil.

I love how much both Rhaenyras and Alicents actually just adore each other and they're completely gleeful together in these interviews. I mean, rarely do you get people who genuinely hate each other on set - other than Lena Headey despising Jerome Flynn so much post-breakup that she literally demanded they never be onscreen together again - but this was really fun to watch in the context of the characters utterly _loathing_ each other and the actors just breaking out laughing about set experiences over and over.

OMG, Eve & Steve? I love Rhaenys and Corlyss because they actually look like a married couple on the show. They're comfortable with each other onscreen and off. Matt and Paddy also do a great job of bringing that complex brotherly love and tension to the screen on the show as well as in this interview. Then there are the two sets of young and adult Rhaenyra and Alicent who can really play up nicely the rising division between friends, which makes watching the dissolution of their friendship even harder to bear. Damn, I've yet to find something to complain about with HOTD, though that it will end too soon might be at the top so far.

Love everything about this. I’ve seen so many vids of Paddy and I can’t get enough of him lol. This whole cast is just so damn brilliant. With everything that happened in the final season of GoT, you just don’t know how this would be received. And it’s been amazing to realize that all 5 episodes so far just keep getting better. the star wars story was actually about Hayden Christensen. He has said in several interviews he would accidentally start making lightsaber noises while shooting fight scenes just because he was so used to doing that as a kid. I love with the actors are as patient about the story as the fans. Makes show/films that much better
