When I first met Diane who became my wife for 59 years, I had just come back from a holiday in my native Austria she gave me this record. Today would have been 82nd birthday, but sadly she passed away on 26th March this year and I miss her more each day!

My best friend and his umpteen sisters and brother would sing this song to their parents whenever the deserving couple would get to go out by themselves for the evening. Wagging their fingers as if to say "Go ahead just go out. WE will be fine, don't give US a second thought." This song had a whole different purpose in their young minds! They all harmonized well together too(German lineage similar to the VonTrapps) ,kids can sure be skalliwags.

This song by the husband and wife team of Eydie Gorme and Steve Lawrence is forever my favourite and forever a place in my heart and memory. But sad to say Eydie Gorme had passed on.Hubby Steve Lawrence is still alive and kicking. "Stay" is still an all time classic and was a very big hit both sides of the Atlantic in 1963.

Not so minor a hit here in the UK: it reached number three, behind only Cliff Richard's "It's All in the Game" at two and the Beatles' "She Loves You" at the top. It's sadly very rarely heard here either nowadays, though.
