I Want to Talk About The Super Mario Bros. Movie

For my first episode in a new series I’m titling “I Want to Talk About…,” I’m gonna be talking about the latest Universal/Illumination film, The Super Mario Bros. Movie. I’m a huge fan of Super Mario Bros., and this movie was a lot of fun. I figured it’d be worth using this as my way to return from hiatus with a new series.

Honestly, this film gave everything it needed to give. I was nervous that this film was gonna be dog shit horrible tbh. Idk if it was the twitter discourse surrounding it (mostly with the voice acting) or the stink of the og Mario movie wafting in the air but honestly it exceeded my expectations by not being groan worthy. (That sounds like shade but I actually do like the movie lol.) My favorite part was when Bowser and Kamek were jamming on the piano together, whenever Bowser and Kamek were on screen it was iconic.

I feel that all 100%. I had a lot of suspicions and skepticisms before it came out, and like I said in the video, my history with the franchise compared to other video games when they were turned into movies made that a bit worse. It pretty much did exactly what it was supposed to, and was entertaining as a result. And I agree, the piano jamming was pretty hilarious. They definitely had really good chemistry.
