So Oscar got Charlie to talk to someone. Even though it was sad it was a touching moment. Darren is one strong person to deal with all of this. Charlie can overcome this it may take time but he'll get there

This whole story is extremely well done. Charlie's pain and his guilt for so much that is nowhere near his fault, as well as Darren's deep empathy for what Charlie is going thru because he knows exactly how he feels, and also his helplessness because he just doesn't know how to help him. Everyone heals in their own ways and what worked for Darren won't necessarily work for Charlie.

I’m crying because I been there I been in and out of hospital because of my depression so this was very emotional and sad for me especially the end bit. I was 12 when I first got depressed and I still feel like I don’t want to be here but I have kids so I stick around for them and for my boyfriend. Its so difficult to wake up most mornings wishing that you didn't, feeling that no one knows you're breaking and you're on your own, there's a brutality to life when you're so isolated that there is only one way to turn, and thats why so many people aren't here, because there's darkness that not everyone can navigate through, i experience these things, so with that said, if you're struggling, i hope you find your way through the darkness! People you never expect care more than you know

​@ChelseyLinden the last I remember is in 2017 in December JJ was planning on killing himself because of when he was a detective he accidentally shot Theo and felt incredibly guilty by the mistake. In fact there a center episode of him writing goodbye letters to everyone prior to him dressing in his uniform and heading to the square where it happen and tried to luckily Gabi got there in time in stopping him and help him through the night though Lani took it the wrong way. But overall JJ did went through it but he had his family and friends by his side to help him by.

Oh my OA poor Charlie that scene when they were in the car and Charlie stopped breathing I thought he was going to die but good thing they got to the hospital in time. I love me how Oscar was there for him also leave a Child to help another one? Aka a little Brother helping the big Brother when it’s clearly the other way around that’s something I’m still trying to understand. But that part to when Darren was also translating what Oscar was saying to his Father Jack was so beautiful and amazing plus if Darren saw Charlie’s lyrics he should’ve known what that song was clearly about and he was putting the pieces together when he was talking to Tony about it too. (plus the actor who plays Darren also used to be a singer and a dancer because he was in a singing group as well) I do hope Charlie will get help and when Nancy comes back to the village hopefully she’ll know about this and she won’t blame Darren for it or anything I do love #Dancy I even hope Darren’s depression won’t come back to haunt him. 😟🤞🏻

OA also I know how this feels to commit suicide. When I was a Teenager in my Junior Year I was in ROTC class and we took a field trip to the USS Lexington (if any of you don’t know what that is you can ask) all the cadets were at the beach (even Gramps was chaperoning) and I was in the ocean I was swimming out to the sea and as I was halfway there towards the deep the cadets saw what I was doing and my Friend James Beeson told me to please swim back for him but I didn’t however he caught up to me and he pushed me back (got lots of strength give him credit) he always helped me when I was feeling down or sad and he was my Best Friend. I’m lucky to be alive I get that but some of these People on here too are also making me feel like relapsing by taking my own life again just because they’re annoyed with me and deleting their threads just because I talk to others on their threads. 😭💔

I stopped watching holly oaks, last I watched was Juliet’s diagnosis. They built up Charlie’s story, and honestly they prosecuted it so well. Had me in tears!!!people need to understand depression I’m teens/kids is real and they need support/help.

​@vallarfaxgaming unfortunately that's not reality. As an aunt who has watched her 18 year old nephew try to take his life for the past 4 years. The mental health service is shocking and they send you home to be with parents. His last attempt was last week he was left on a drip which was empty and draining blood out of him for over 10 hours on his own in a room not checked upon and he told them if you send me home I will be dead within the week and guess what ?? He is home and has a new death date. Because that is sad reality the mental health team are no use and think a 30 minute phone call once a week is enough and it's not. Its not to do with him being an adult now as this has been going on for 4 years and he had asked to be sectioned and they say he is better of at home with his mom.

You are wrong there chum. The anxiety he was getting wasn't the typical type you get when you have to do a speech (for example). It's constant, over and over, sometimes for no reason, and can last awhile like he said in the car. Which then can lead to depression due to not being able to deal with it anymore.

I know depression is exist, but Charlie bring this to himself, he has a family , the best parents kids can ever had. What Darren said is wrong ... Asking Charlie to say the truth. It could have been shown as just a accident. Now Charlie would face humiliation all over the village and it will worsen the situation. And in this hospital why is there that stupid one woman as a doctor for all kinds of illnesses and surgeries and accidents. A doctor can't say they can't do anything unless he tells truth. Why are the writers making false stuff in this story.
