“Are we going to make another of these?” And then Jordan quickly clarifies that he’s talking about the VIDEO! 😆

I’ll be honest, when Jordan asked, “Are going to make another one of these?” I thought he was talking about Owen, not the video. 😅

ME TOO and I was like, well that's direct but to the point... I was just wondering whether it was rhetorical to get ahead of the comments, or if he was genuinely asking Sara that on camera, he seemed so earnest 😂😂

I do know people who potty trained their babies at 3 months old, so I think that is awesome you have been able to do that! I am impressed! My 18 month old also loved that teething toy so much. He had the penguin one. Now he doesn't use it but it was soooo important. If I could go back in time, I would have 6-7 kids instead of just these three now. I agree that people should not be afraid to have kids. So many people are anti-kids these days. I enjoyed this update. Thank you.

Elimination, communication and training your baby is really great. I did cloth diapers and this type of thing with my fourth and it was actually easier than disposables, mostly you train yourself to train them. Fluff love has a lot of advice, but the main thing is if you go cloth you want to buy natural fiber, bamboo, or cotton with a snap pul cover. I used cotton tea towels and it wasn’t any more gross then disposables. Especially as most of the time they went in the big toilet from a few months old. We also had a little seat that attached to the big toilet seat, not the type that comes off and on. It was a “real” seat with both a little and a big hole. All that said some kids do take longer but we all eventually go in the toilet so don’t stress and make it stressful. 💕

We’re doing EC with our 6 mo old daughter! My husband and I love the weird looks we get when we tell people. But her grin when she does her business successfully is adorable. Also sleeping was a serious concern for me before she was born. I agree with Sarah, its like I have a super power now. It blows my mind how little sleep I am okay with.

I tried the EC method from a book but the book was confusing haha and I didn’t have enough support. Definitely plan to be more consistent next time!

Such a sweetie! Some days were miserable for me. Sometimes the only thing that would get me through was the thought, "I'll never have to do this again." I know that sounds awful, but it was true. Then, we decided to have another and I did it all over again. Having a newborn was probably the hardest, most difficult time of my life. I'm so glad you all are doing great and loving every moment. He's precious!

This has been my experience too (baby is 5 months). I am so glad they have had such a positive time so far, but I do not resonate with suddenly becoming a superhero with sleep deprivation when a baby is involved. It has really affected my mental health.

Sleep regression happens, more often than not, right after shots. My vax child had sleep regressions at all the normal times. Of my three unvaxxed children, only one had two regressions that didn't even happen at normal times. Congrats on the baby toilet training. You guys are superheroes.

Congrats! Our baby (#6) is a month... goes so fast! all of ours have had severe tongue and lip ties. The nursing until laser revision is awful! The stretches are no fun but soo necessary. Our one child who didn't have stretches (per that providers instructions) ended up having to have speech therapy. Also can be related to an MTHFR genetic mutation... just something to maybe check out. Babies and children are amazing! I wouldn't change it for anything! Doing it together with the love of your life is the best!

Man, “For the Moments I feel Faint” by Relient K has one of my all time favorite guitar parts! I mostly chord and don’t do a whole lot of lead but I have carried that sheet music around since I first learned guitar back around 2011 hoping that I might be able to get it one day 😩 I’m glad Owen is loving it!

You guys and your honest about-life videos are just so encouraging. All the things we hear day-in and year-out can make normal things sound so daunting, and your videos help dispel a lot of that. ❤️ Thank you!! And also, Owen looks so happy and healthy. ❤️ You guys are clearly such good parents!

God bless your family. I'm glad that you love your son so much and clearly want what is best for him. I'd like to encourage you to avoid sharing your son with us online. I am sure you have the very best of intentions, but every update or image you share cannot ever be undone. That is a big deal. My dad became the central figure of a documentary. As a teenager, I was so proud of him and getting to be a part of that. I signed the document allowing my image to be used in the film because when it wrapped up I was 18. I truly wish that I could undo signing my name and agreeing to let strangers have that window into my life. That film became something very challenging for my family and it is hard knowing there are still people who encounter it and judge my family by it a decade later. I am grateful that we have wonderful thoughtful Christian parents on this platform like yourself and Sara. I hope that you continue to be a positive influence on our peers. However, for the long-term stability of your family, I believe it is best to keep those who see and know about your child limited those you love and know in your real physical life. May God bless and protect your beautiful family. May He give you guidance and wisdom as you continue to raise your son. And may He keep Owen in the Christian Faith.

At this stage the days are short. It’s when they don’t develop so quickly. Also, when they have siblings and tackling that on a daily is what makes days long. At least that was my experience. Thanks for the update! I knew you wouldn’t have any problems!

We may have seen some of the same medical professionals as you, because we live in the Nashville area and my little one had some oral ties reversed last year as a newborn. The recovery is rough! I'm glad you got through it okay. We do have some good specialists in the area.
