Thanks to this young man for his honesty. I also love that he can speak twi so perfectly! I want the youth to know that basic/tertiary education [e.g. high school, technical education and even a university degree] is important even if you want to be an artist/writer. Education is always beneficial and important in the USA so I am not endorsing Kevin's approach. He is indicating that payment of child support of both children is depriving him from seeing his grandma in Ghana but if he had had basic/tertiary education his livelihood would have been much better. The advise to Ghana parents in the USA is to strike a good balance with their kids in the USA, i.e., not only telling them to study [which is important] but also finding out what's going on with them in school and their lives as a whole, including their friendship circles. Don't stay out of touch [find out what they are up to all the time!] so that peer pressure does not let the kids fall prey to bad crowd as exemplified by Kevin! I wish Kevin God's blessings so that his life can be transformed for the better!
