The mother made the right decision. Nothing is much painful than a mother being separated from her child. But she knew that prison is not a safe place for a child. Her son deserves a happy childhood. This story was almost believable until the end when he said that they moved into Florida. Nowhere in the US do they let incarcerated mothers keep their children longer than three years and that's only if the prison has a housing nursery to keep the family apart from the prison. However most states don't have child housing nursery's so they end up in foster care or other relatives immediately after birth. When a parent goes to jail they loose all parental rights. Its sad but true.
