Ghost Trick was directed by Shu Takumi, so it made sense to include it here. It's also good marketing for it because it's a single game that's not part of any franchise, so it's nice to get Ace Attorney fans who don't know it to try it out.

Ghost Trick is an orphan adopted by the Ace Attorney family and will get really offended if you refer to it as "Not a real Ace Attorney game." Anyway, if they ever do cross over, Ace Attorney Missile needs to meet Ghost Trick Missile. "Hi, I'm Missile!" "You're Missile! I'm Missile! WELCOME!" "Wow, you're Missile! Edgeworth is being voiced by Kyle Herbert, reprising his role as Edgeworth from Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice, so he's not new. The reason Sam Riegel is not voicing Phoenix here is because he's having tonsil issues. This is why Eric Vale is reprising his role from the anime. And that explains why we have an anime VA and a game VA in this recap!

Unofficially Ghost Trick is an Ace Attorney game. Ghost Trick has always been grouped with the Ace Attorney franchise as they were both created by Shu Takumi. Also Edgeworth is voiced by Kyle Hebert who voiced him in both Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice while I believe that is Phoenix's anime voice due to Sam Riegel having tonsil cancer I believe. He's had it treated now and is recovering, which is great news.

One of the reason I can think why the crossover game wasn't mentioned in this trailer is because it doesn't have a remaster port yet and it's also a Level-5 game so Capcom will need permission to use the characters they don't own. I'm still hoping it'll get a remaster port someday tho, maybe once Level-5 isn't busy anymore because right now they're handling too many projects and most of them are getting delayed again and again. About Ghost Trick being mentioned here despite not being an Ace Attorney game, well.... It's made by Shu Takumi who is the mastermind behind Ace Attorney, it's technically AA's step brother, it might not have the same gameplay but the vibes and writing are pretty similar and I think it's so nice of them to give a shout-out to the creator's other games.

Ace attorney had yearly releases pretty much until 2017. Since then not a single new game has been made, the head writer seems retired and the second head writer split ways with Capcom. Unless i see a full fledged trailer for a real Ace Attorney 7, i consider the series over. I can't really be disappointed if there is no expectation at this point.

that was all? It was a good year for AA with 2 collection games and with this "announce" I was expecting something better like an anime because an announcement for a new game is too soon because Investigation has a month since it was release but this is a little dissapoinment

The folks at Capcom publicly stated multiple times to keep your expectations in check. They brought it up during the TGS presentation when it was announced, they reminded people via their socials, etc. I am unsure how you went into this expecting anything, but you have my sincerest apologies.

Deadass I genuinely hate the Monster Hunter franchise now. Hours of the MH show. I sat through after seeing your post about them hyping up some Ace Attorney announcement. Just to be met with 10 minutes of them recapping the the collections already sold us, one of which they showcased a bunch in the show already, making me think its building up to something. But nope. The only thing keeping me from finally becoming a doomer about AA7 is that Investigations Collection (or Selection as Japan calls it i realized) JUST released so I understand them not wanting to rush revealing a brand new entry. It just makes me wondered why they bothered with this little bit at all though, aside from cope that them going through the trouble shows an invested interest in more AA down the line, and they've run out of games to remaster (unless they can hook up with LVL 5 again for Layton crossover HD lol). AA7 is the only other place they can go, so it ain't over. But man, this was the bamboozle-ment of a lifetime for the AA fan in me

I'm unsure how anybody could have went into this with expectations. They mentioned it was just a series over view and nothing more when it was announced. The Ace Attorney twitter also reiterated this. I'm sorry you got tricked, but with AAI having been just released and with all the aforementioned warnings, I feel like it was pretty easy to guess the substance of this video.

I didn't realize there was even gonna be a special ace attorney thing till seeing homegirl's community post and went to Capcom's stream (the Japanese one so maybe i missed when they said itd just be a series review during the show) right after to check if i missed it. I also mentioned the thing about Investigations collection just releasing being a factor to not give huge news but it just makes me question why do this at all when they were already advertising the collection throughout the whole show prior anyway. And anyone that knows about the investigations collection would already be privy enough about AA to have already or be planning to check the other ones out but eh. Still salty about all the Monster Hunter news i lost sleep to lol
